    Yes.

Archery is wonderful. Not only is it fun in its own right it is excellent for posture, empowerment, spacial awareness and proprioception. Dh and i both love archery, and despite the need for aim and spcial awareness dh...who is physically quite gauche, is rather good at it, so we have great fun. Dh wants to go on an archery on horseback course. He also wants to go jousting..we know someone who runs jousting courses and is also keen for dh to go. But.....i am not sure his proprioception and spacial awareness is good enough to make it safe. It would tie in well with the other stuff we do (did) with special girl.

Edit: in fact, maybe we should set it up next weekend, if the weather is decent.

Heck yes, providing you think they are mature/responsible enough. I learned to shoot a crossbow and air pistols/rifles when I was young. Posh alert: my grandparents had a shooting gallery in the attic of their house, though I am working class, honest!

Learning how to use a weapon brings with it a great deal of responsibility and maturity. To shoot well, whether a long bow, crossbow or gun requires a lot of poise and also teaches things like patience, concentration and breathing. Also if you are a perfectionist, target shooting is a great exercise as only the centre of the target feels good enough. Being a long-term veggie though I've never shot anything that lived, that's not my bag - too much of a townie.

A friend of mine moved to wales & has since taken up archery. He's completely hooked. Spends all his spare time on it.

It would have required digging out or that would have been fantastic! As the house had two dining rooms, we did have a games room as well, with a full sized table tennis table and pub games like skittles. It was a great place to be around growing up.

The other room you would have approved of, I think, was the artisan's workshop in which I learned how to gold leaf.

Just googled these. What are they like? Citrus-y? Tangy? Sharp? Sweet? Juicy?

    What is their texture?
    What are they most like?
    What do they go with?
Do I eat em raw, or in a pie/crumble etc?
