In this family we call that going out without our boobies on :rotfl:
I once had to go with my sister in law to the doctors as she was having a suspected miscarriage, in the most depressing of times we managed to have a laugh as the doctor wanted to examine her.......she suddenly exclaimed "But I've got no boobies on!"
Cue a rather confused doctor and two previously depressed and upset ladies rolling around the floor in laughter. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
It's quite nippy here today. Overcast and nippy. Just been out in cropped jeans, no socks and crocs.... felt the nippiness a bit dressed like that.0

OH always wonders if that is a PC expression in mixed company when the literal meaning in in evidence, or if it suggests he's been staring at the relevant body parts a little too much.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Its a 'little bit' in that phrase presumably refers to men, the nippy is for us gals, thus, its a suitable phrase for mixed company.
Lots of lovely blosson here today. The black thorn is covered, the plums are throwing petals down, the peaches are resplendant in pink. The late frost will probably reduce chances of fruit this year i guess,
Any one else noticed that it seems to be a bumper year for magnolias of all sorts and forsythia? The forsythia i have seen this year are so densley packed with flower i cannot fail to be impressed, even though i don't like it as a plant. I have already got snaps this year of the peach blossonm and some tulips and stuff.
Oh, and while its not unusal nowadays to see rape field in flower in march (scarily) it is already rampant in the extreme this year.0 -
I've been looking it up, and apparently nip is low German or Dutch for to bite or sting with the cold and that's the origin of the expression, though the urban dictionary says otherwise...Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
