. Imo, much nicer than a winter pea and ham soup.
Not the greatest fan of mint lir. I do love pea & ham soup, sadly, with a french stick!
Been using the warm weather as an excuse for numerous different types of ice cream!:D
Frijj milkshakes too. Yum!
I'm having 1 meal a day where the stuff is "hearty" (in example, faggots, mash & mushy peas". Thats keeping me going.
I miss wraps. I like eating salad wraps in this kinda weather.
I reckon in about 4-7 days, I should be able to bite...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Really tires, hae to be up early, which of course means that my body has no inclination to sleep.
Learning today how a business can't control the conversatio on twitter. H's best friend is pretending to be his own dog and singing the joys of our company to the likes of Lord Sugar and David Walliams. How people like that cope with the crud tweeted at them, I have no idea.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

I've no idea where one would buy these pea shoots from.... as I've never seen them they must be a Waitrose thing or something
Peas are sold in pods ... and I've never seen them sold with shoots on.
I'll keep an eye out.0 -
Shame I missed Freakonomics - would have liked to have watched it. Hope it will be on a non-sky channel some time soon.
Very happy, however, at the prospect of this, given that it will be the original authors writing it.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

if you liked Freakonomics, have any NOs read this: The Undercover Economist?
Thought it was better. Describes why corrupt countries fall behind and is a very sobering read at some points. :cool:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
I've never read any book about an economist.
Ever.
I don't actually know anything about economics.... it's not something that you get taught at school, and it looks like a subject that causes arguments, depending which book somebody's read.0 -
In our local roads all houses have sold out very quickly since turn of the year which is disappointing as we were hoping to buy to extend to profit
I know it is just marketing but we got a stamped personally addressed letter from agent today saying they had proceedable buyer looking in the 6 local roads and no seller fees would be payable.
I am dying of hay fever - I think it is actually trees - possibly birch and the warm, dry weather has made it all kick off. Only relief is in the filtered a/c air at work - so at 10.30 they decide to do a fire practice and send us to stand in St James Park for an hour..sore eyes , steaming nose and non-stop sneezes for the next few hours left me far from impressed. I never had it at all till my late 20s and now I suffer worse than anyone I know, what's going on there then, MsKool I'm looking to you to sort it for me please.
I fill the car with petrol, drive it until I think it might be close to empty and then fill it again - hopefully about 60l on a 65l tank. Why would anyone visit the petrol station more often than they needed to?I think....0 -

Me too. In fact whern I googled how much petrol is left when my car's warning light comes on I was shocked to find there's 10litres/2 gallons left. I used to panic when the light comes on (DW and the Zagettes still do) but now I carry on blissfully untilI find a cheap petrol station about 50 miles after the light's on.
Not just why waste time visiting the petrol station, why burn petrol carrying amostly-full petrol tanks around.
Mind you in the old days the light used to come on when you had a half-gallon left so you had to get to a petrol station within 15 miles, and also there was a risk of stirring up dirt in the bottom of the tank.:(There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Why would anyone want to go to work all day and then watch a documentary about it on the TV when they get home?Do you know anyone who's bereaved?
