No, that was some other lucky bugg4h.

My buyer (who still wants it) had his buyer become unmortgageable out of the blue. If all that chain'd been OK it'd have been completely over last week.

I filled up a couple of days ago, and there was no queue.

.....on a funny note though, we now have a kitchen bin in the shape of a FAB lolly thanks to James' work place.

Maybe James should go on The Apprentice.
I'm sure a lolly shaped bin would be a better idea then the multifunctional kitchen composting bin the guys' team came up with.

It isn't a novel idea though, it is something that is already made and used for promotional purposes....still looks funky in my kitchen though.

Well, yesterday the Morrisons garage was manic, today it was manic on steroids....queues right up the hill, onto the roundabout, around the roundabout and up all approach roads and also for those coming out of Morrisons, queues down the hill and blocking everyone getting out of the car park.

I just about managed to squeeze out of the car park and down the hill but it became blocked behind me when a car decided he didn't want to wait on the hill anymore and completely blocked the road so no other begger could get out of the car park.

So no begger can get into the car park to go shopping and no begger can get out of the car park after doing their shopping....oh and if they want fuel on top, then they better be prepared to wait a while.

Can't see the sense of it really, they would have used the fuel by the time if/when they go on strike.

I've half a tank, so 40-50 litres. At current consumption rates that might do two weeks, or could stretch to 4 if there were a crisis. Thing is, I can't fill up unless I accept that it'll cost me £2 more to go to the petrol station 10 miles away, rather than holding out for 10 days until I am 20 miles away.

The way to get rid of these queues at petrol stations is to have a minimum charge of say £25, that way the idiots driving round who already have a 3/4 full tank don't decide to fill up.

A41 blocked yesterday evening by people queuing for the petrol station.

A 100 litre tank? What car do you have? Range Rover 4.4 V8? :)

I'd be beggered then, I hardly ever put £25 in at a time (only when I am going on a fairly long journey or I feel rich that week).

The most I can usually afford at a time is £10-£15 (because of the way my money coming in is staggered over the week), usually more the £10 than the £15.

I usually fill up at half full or less when passing the cheap petrol station. Lots of the jouneys i do do not pass any petrol stations, or only v expensive ones, so if i have used more than a third of a tank it can make sense for me to top up rather than make a trip in the opposite direction especially for fuel and bringing forward other stuff to make that trip worthwhile.

Let eveyone panic buy for a while, get it out of their systems, keep reserves for essential workers etc like last tipme we had fuel supply strikes and go slows.

    In fact, if we cou
D drive the fuel ecnomy issue home round here i might get fewer twirps haring up my road, and my neighbour might get fewer through his fence on the bend.

Young men especially, those who are meant to struggle to pay their huge insurances etc....

No, I was in a hurry to pop out.... tank's 40-50 litres (one of those things where the book says 40 litres, I think, yet I always seem to be able to sqeeze 44-45 into it).... so half of that. :)
