I put back the only turtle (terrapin) I ever caught in British waters. It was living not far from your old place and weighed a good 5lbs. Must admit, I wouldn't have fancied it. _pale_
Did eel once. It wouldn't stop jumping around in the pan, and it was already in 3" pieces! :rotfl:I didn't really like its rich taste that much.
ATM I'm pheasanted-out & praying there won't be any more on the door handle till next season.
Smoked eel can be amazing, that's one of the things I would never have tried if I didn't waste money in poncey restaurants!0 -

I do at least know my principle character faults though.
Perhaps you are the acception that proves the rule?
I think my theory is more of a likelyhood than a definite ...he it mushrooms so he Must be good.. And tbh, i Am not gonna go back to reasearch to find how likely there is to be a link, i found a man who is a gourmand, so why would i?
Tbh, even good in bed could get me to deal with daily grumpiness and rudeness though. I would add selfishness is almost certainly contraindicatory of a good lover....but your gf seems keen , so hou must get something right, so good for you!0 -

There is a smokery in somerset that does what i am told are amazing smoked eels. If i have to try eel, that is the way i will try it first i hope.0 -
I eat anything and lots of it.
Yum to everything everyone has talked about except oysters. Never tried them. Cant say the idea of them appeals but I'd give them a go.0 -
She's Australian, they have no taste and make cups of tea using the hot tap instead of a kettle so I'm not sure that evidence is admissible in these proceedings!0

Try them, michaels would like them. Try good big meaty ones, that are sweetly salty. Six is amole for a meal imo. A dozen is too manyi have decided.
A mole should read enough. Even i can't see the mental leap i made there.0 -
I frequently make my kids try a little taste of things (although only in private en famille, not at other people's houses or when we have guests). It works on DD. DS has yet to change his mind about any of the things he doesn't like. He knows his own mind, and doesn't change it easily, as regards food just as regards everything else.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

Isn't it wonderful that there is someone for evryone, even a grumpy person? You are very lucky to have found her, and hopefully you can help her with the kettle.0 -

I hope his project is going well.
The problem with being so decisive is that you can close doors to yourself, and be biased against things that can make you happier.0 -

Yeah, I know. It's hard to persuade him, though.Do you know anyone who's bereaved?
