viva, you would have been proud of me on Tuesday.
I was teaching yr10. We were just finishing the topic on the electromagnetic spectrum, and had to discuss harmful effects of different parts of it, including UV and skin cancer, natch. I was able to remember your ABCDE of moles, and tell them about it.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

good album but i prefer bona drag.
i could never go on a cruise. i get horribly sea sick, which is actually more to do with the stench of fuel oil everywhere on a ship i think. used to ruin my holidays knowing that i would have to get the cross channel ferry back at the end of it. would have been ok if dover-calais but my parents insisted on sailing poole to cherbourg, which was 7 hours (or something like that) of hell.
just want to complain again about SW trains, and the jubilee line, which teamed up horribly once more this morning. and also about gordon ramsay restaurants, which are unacceptably expensive. i reckon there are people on the old style board could live for a whole year on what i spent last night. all future meals will be restricted to GBK, i think.0 -

Of course it was good!! We had the chefs tasting menu thing with matching wine, which was delightful from a culinary standpoint but brutal financially. Starter was foie gras, bit rich for me. Then scallops, pork belly some posh fruit salad and a lump of chocolate to finish it off. The odd amuse bouche here and there. Can't remember much of what the wine was but with the granita, or fruit salad as normal people call it, we had a moscado d'asti. I know you're not supposed to guzzle dessert wine but I could happily spend an evening pummelling a few bottles of that.
Coffee came with a little chest of drawers full of chocolates. I think you were supposed to have one or two. I destroyed the lot to get them back for the excessive bill, but I think they won the war.0 -

His restaurants are mostly French cuisine so you wouldn't expect much for veggies as the French haven't heard of the concept of not eating meat.0 -

Dh loves dessert wine too. I'm not that keen...but would drink Sauternes with fois gras happily.0 -
I've never heard of dessert wine.
Must be time for a posh alert!0 -
We had a red dessert wine last night as well, which I've never had before. Was interesting to try. I'm not a massive wine drinker at all, and I struggle to tell the difference between the fancy stuff and cheap plonk from sainsburies. It all gives me a worse headache than lager does!!0
