Third new judge on our case in italy, and another no show from the othersides witnesses. Judge noted we have tried to settle all the way along and this seems to be in our favour. We offered again to settle for a sum that would cover our deposit and three months rent, other side do not seem inclined to accept. Next hearing in a couple of months. Chasing has cost us a lot, but still feel worth it if we break even, because the landlord was in the wrong and the house was declared uninhabitable. Think ll might have fled the country.

Oh my! What a convoluted process. I see why foundinrates thought it was a waste of a day off work. :(

Hope you get some closure soon.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

This sounds like he is playing the system and it could drag on and on :(

Not sure how these things normally go in Italy. Maybe NDG would have some idea.

He is playing the system. And who can blame him...but not in the terms of the number of hearings rather in countersuing. That is standard, and the reason their have been three
witness hearings for his side is that his witnesses have not shown, he doesn't have a justifypiab,e case against us, tjough its hard to prove either way. Next hearing may well be the last one for this matter. Then we can start proceedings to chase him for the unpaid money presuming they find in our favour rotfl:Its been what, five years now i thnk.

Its been really nteresting, becuase its the kind of stuff dh never would deal with professionally. The court system is crazy though. The cheaper thing for the justice system might have been just for the government to give us pur deposit back and tell us to suck up the rest!

Getting nervous about the weekend here, I now have my date through for my procedure and I am being 'admitted' as a day case on Saturday for it to be done.

It's good that I have a date through but also very eek because I am really scared of them finding something not quite so good.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Sue, if something nasty is there it is better if they do find it, so finding it will be giood news, better than sitting worried about it being there unnoticed. Hopefully it will all go well though!

The nicest thing about my monitor is the two little bouncy van pictures my DD made for me when she was much younger. They were on the last monitor too. They sit on top at either side and hang over a bit. She just made them and stuck them on without saying anything :happyhear
