Cannot make it an avatar. Invalid file.:(

You do have to resize avatars to around 80 X 80 size.

I use this online editor for all my editing.....

    http://pixlr.com/editor/

If you can right click and copy the image URL then open pixlr, click the open from URL and paste the URL in the box, ok then it should open. If this method works, you will see your avatar on the screen. Click the image tab above the picture area, then image size and set the picture to around 80 X 80.

This copy of your picture should be ok as an avater.

    Sss you have been brilliant.

Sadly cannot use that one as i am mac, no flash ....:)

I don't really mind not having an avatar. I think the chances of seeing my avatar on someone elses screen regularly enough pictured here to make the laughter worth it are slim!

Or did you want something romantic?

I got a rhyming valentine's card today.... from my dad, explaining (in rhyme) that he always wrote a rhyming valentine for my mum, and now she's gone he's doing one for her daughter instead. It made me cry ... a lot. It's weird: my second-hand grief, thinking about how he's missing her, is much harder to deal with than my own loss of my mum. Is that very strange of me?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)

Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

    No.

In a different way you have felt grief over a partner and loss twice in recent years. You have been where he is and felt the pain of being alone. It is testament to your kind nature you canrecognise it in others and realise your own grief is only part of the picture of loss. Its that kind of compassion that makes families like yours so wonderful, pulling together in stead of apart.
