Very funny:rotfl::rotfl: happy for you to post.

I can't seem to post pictures loaded to flckr. Tried using the piccie link and the web link in advanced reply and neither works. :(

Right click and save the picture to your PC

    open http://tinypic.com/

Click the choose file button which will open a box of your PC explorer and browse to the picture you want to upload.

Click the upload now button on tinypic (you will have to enter a 2 word security code)

Copy the IMG line (second one down) and past it on a reply post. As It already has the IMG tags included so you can paste it straight on to a reply post.

Honestly, you are showing your self as a bit of a romantic today chewy...you might want to adjust that. Home made cards, re wrapped roses.....

I don't really like the overpriced scentless florists roses tbh. I think thjey are pretty but they just look like money in a vase to me, and they don't smell good.

Dh doesn't buy me many flowers tbh, but i usually get a bunch of anemones early in the year. I adore them, such cheerful little things. I also like them in mixed colour bunches, which dh prefers....though i like single colour bunches too. They are, too me, a good value cut flower in that i have never grown them at home as wnice as the bought ones, and the early bunches though not eco good do make ne feel happy.

I only get flowers on out anniversary, which requires quite careful management (from her) as I can never remember whether our anniversary is 29th, 30th or 31st.

I forgot completely last year which produced some extreme grumpiness. I think flowers are a horrible waste of money. I'd rather get a plant but we don't have a garden to put it in and "house" plants are, well, not designed to grow in a house.

Do you mean when you got together?

Thank you for this. I take it that means flckr won't let you upload a picture - which was the whole point of opening a flckr account - which in turn meant having to have a yahoo account. more accounts to remember Grr

I use tinypic and pixlr.com which is great for resizing or editing pics. Both are free, easy and quick to use.

You can join pixlr also which will let you save pictures online.

The friend has gone home this evening, bearing gin & white choccies (her presents of choice).

    Today we have:
    1) Chosen light fittings for the playroom and ordered them online
    2) Found the cheapest place (Amazon) to buy the bulbs I want for the kitchen
    3) Helped DD to decorate her lampshade and put it up (pic to follow later)
    4) Helped DD to position and stick sparkly foam letters on her bedroom door to spell her name
    5) Cut down the shelf that used to be in the cupboard under the sink and put half of it back in with a new support (no space for the other half now the new bin is in there)
    6) Cut down the broken DVD tower from the playroom so the bottom (unbroken) half can be used
    7) Altered the door on the overflow freezer to open in the other direction, now it's in a new place
    8) Made the children put all the CDs, DVDs & videos back on the shelves after all the rearrangement of the furniture

I am now v tired, but determined to make further progress tomorrow. I have told my friend I'll send her pics tomorrow evening to prove I've got something further done. Must make the most of half term!

PS lostinrates - did you have a look at my butterfly lampshades? I thought of your birdcage thingy when I picked them, although these aren't as mad, of course.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)
