    As long as you ensure that the new shower is compatible with your plumbing(bottom/top inlet pipe) and don't exceed your RCD rating, it is a simple job.

    Any competent DIYer would manage it quite easily.

    Surely, not even you could construe that explanation as other than a 'like for like' replacement.(all the other posters understood) Or is your definition of a 'like for like' to have exactly the same model? - even though it went out of production 10 years ago.
