You are mis-informed (about BE - I have no idea about O2). BE categorically DO NOT have usage caps, on ANY of their packages. Yes, they have a FUP (Fair Use Policy), but this has never been invoked on anyone other than those who have used their connections (and the BE mail server) to send SPAM. NOONE has been sanctioned for data usage.

My twopenneth is that they are all as bad (or good) as each other. I just know requesting the static ip helped my connection no-end.
I am awaiting the day (and it is coming) when i turn my back on Tech, do a Ray Mears survival course and go and explore the Wild (if it still exists).0
