Cheers in advance
If you are registered as self employed, you should know that you are as you have registered with HMRC as such and give them the figures they want on their form
the status with the company your work for is made clear at the time of starting either independent contractor or directly employed, i only know of 2 that do it that way so more than likely your self employed and give your total turnover expenses and profit. HMRC dont care if you work for 1 or 1000 companies as long as you accurate list the totals.
its a bit late now but go on one of the free hmrc business courses, you may well need it0 -

I won't purchase things for almost £100 or over and send them off for a very small fee. Mental. But I did manage to nab 4 banks yesterday. Shame they only allow 4 a month whereas I use to do 120

Cheers for the responses, I did think that as I registered as self employed but got the other option which confused me, I may think about going on a course in future but feel I have the grip at the moment and and have very detailed books. Once again I appreciate your help @Lil_Me & whitelabel0

just remember tax doesnt have to be taxing.
im possibly the worst numerical person i know (really i struggle beyond 5 times tables without a calculator !) but i just didnt do any reading or courses before hand, just read and answered each question that was on the form and wasnt flustered by it.
i had my figures prepared over the year so just in putted them all and worked through the form
I think some people over complicate and worry about it, its not as bad as it you may think it will be and gets far quicker each year, till it hopefully grows and reaches the stage its quicker to pay an accountant to do it all for you0 -
Logging into a site a couple of days ago and was pleased to see a store that could be done today, as I knew I was going to that store this morning to do something else. Unfortunately someone was a split second quicker than me and nabbed it right from under my nose - how annoying!
So I visited the store this morning and did my other job, and then went on my merry way. About an hour later, I get an email from GR and guess what, it's store I'd just been to that someone must have dropped today. Doubly annoying! Here I go again on my own....0 -
If you're looking to spend that much on a tablet then I would look at the asus transformer, if it was an android one. It was between one of these and an ipad when I was looking. On the subject of 'thethering' check with your network provider to ensure they don't charge you extra as I know some do.Nope, you could if the iPad had a USB socket and you coould download Blackberry Desktop Manager onto the iPad, but not otehrwise
Also double check contract, newer contracts aren't an issue, but older contracts don't necessarily include tethering in data allowanceBoredupnorth wrote: »This is not strictly true, only some networks and contracts allow tethering
Sorry for my mistake, I didn't realise it was only some contracts0 -
Hello,
I am new to mystery shopping and just signed up to a couple of companies. I have done a few jobs this month, but I have no idea when it comes to tax.
I will probably be doing no more than £30 (fees + reimbursement) worth of work.
Do I just need a low earnings certificate? etc
Where do I begin?
Cheers0 -
If there is a job 5 miles away. Is the mileage claim 10 miles, at 40p or thereabouts per mile = £4?This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

It is actually 45p a mile so the claim is £4.50. Did one today at exactly that mileage!0 -
