Can you access the advanced boot options and do you see the option Repair my computer?
Restart the computer.
As soon as the computer starts, begin tapping the F8 key until Advanced Boot Options appears.
Do you see the option Repair your computer.
Do you have access to a flash drive.

No, just see if you have the option to repair your copmuter then reboot normally again.
No. not an external drive but a usb flash drive/memory stick.
Also, whilst I'm offline, see if you can understand these alternative instructions.
