I have unstalled avast and tried to install the one via the link, although it goes to my download folder it will not install inself as a program? I can rick click but when I request to run as administrator it keeps bringing up a box asking if I want to allow an unknown downloaded program to make changes, if I click yes it still dosent do anything? The only scan button I can find when I right click is one combined with malewarebytes which I already have installed? I'm confused. I have just noticed that although I unstalled loads of things yesterday they are still showing in my downloads? Is this right does it still mean they are installed? Sorry I am usesless with computers. I do have a highjack log from yesterday should I post it, I also tried yesterday spybot but it said it would only fix the first 100 errors for free and then I needed to upgrade

a message has now come up stating aswMBR.exe is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer - i have choosen actions and run anyway. I have then choosen yes to allow program to make changes.

Should I now be finding program on desktop and rick clicking and run as administator?

Yes. Don't worry - it's a file from the antivirus company Avast.

Install the program by double clicking on the downloaded installer.
