Easyjet ends fee-free bookings as it now charges for Visa Electron

I travel with Easyjet quite a lot. I previously used Electron to pay for my tickets and was dismayed to learn of the £9 Admin charge now being placed upon us. Can it really be that difficult for airlines just to tell us the price. It is important that hidden charges are made transparent, but how much resource time is spent thinking up new and inventive ways to extract further monies from us. This is a do it yourself airline, isn't it about time they thought about paying us for the time we spend online rifling through a myriad of pricing structures. I really don't mind them as a short-haul airline, but they have really gone down in my estimation and instead of making them my first port of call, they will definitely come under more 'pricing scrutiny' from me. Easyjet have done themselves no favours.0

Can it really be that difficult for airlines just to tell us the price.Yes.Just did a search for a flight on easyJet and it says in bold:
"Final Price €54.99."In a big orange box it explains "the Final Price shown is the price you'll pay."Just above it you're invited to click on"Pay by credit card €60.99."0 -
The reasoning behind this type of pricing structure revolves around Internet flight search engines. It seems of huge importance to get to the top of the list as the 'cheapest flight' from A to B and stealth charges such as admin fees are not reflected on such sites. Ryanair pioneered it but they'll all grab the opportunity of free cash given the chance. Flybe and Jet2 are notable offenders too. Stand by for Easyjet allocated seating this year in another cash grab ( it isn't going to be free! )Timmay!0

I used mine recently to avoid a booking fee with Aer Lingus.
