What do you mean? Because I wont pass their test to see if I am really incapable of working? Well if I dont pass I dont pass, nothing I can do..but just cos they say I can work I know I mentally can not do it, so I wont be claiming JSA.0 -

Hmm..hopefully this makes more sense when I speak to them! Its really really confusing me.0 -

Hopefully ATOS would have the sense to realise a face to face medical would be not necessary (or at least of limited use). It's important to put the face to face medical in context... it literally is just one stream of potential evidence gathering to take a Work Capability Decision at the DWP. THe criticisms of the system has been typically that this face to face medical (report) was being almost exclusively relied upon to determine enttilement and they were often horribly inaccurate."Do not attribute to conspiracy what can adequately be explained by incompetence" - rogerblack0 -

Nope, he is claiming JSA.0 -
Thank you, what do you mean by week 14 of claim? its all so confusing.
Do a google search on ESA, lots of info.
The first 6 months are assessment phase. You need med notes to give them from doc saying your not fit for work.
After that you will have to have a med examination like explained above and on page 1, to see if you score enough points to get on the main phase of ESA (Which is more money, week 14+) Once on main phase you don't need med notes from the doctor, but you may be required to go interview or two or possible work related activities if your on work related group (Which they would put you on if you do get ESA)
If your really ill like me you may go onto main phase early.0 -
So do you ever intend on working?0

Thank you for your help, I was planning on ringing tomorrow but instead will wait until after I have seen my doctor.0 -

We were both on a joint claim, I had to sign off because I was being put onto a work course I can not do.0
