Just had a muffled phone call from a delivery guy saying he had a delivery for me from Diagio and they would be really late delivering it and did I want it then?" How late?" I said. He replied " Well we are about 7 or 8 hours away from you so about midnight!" :eek: They are delivering at about 8am tomorrow instead - must be my wine. Shame they didn't come today. Seems odd they are coming all the way here with one thing.
DD is busy making me a cake in the newly fixed oven - yes! My flowers came too after a lot of chasing so just need the car now. Things are looking up.

Sheils, hope the car is sorted soon. I, unfortunately, have had bad news about mine. There is a major job that needs doing so they are probably going to give me my money back, or offer me another car. have to speak to them again tomorrow.
I've had some nice news today though, I've been chosen to be a judge on the Chris Evans 500 word story competition. There will be loads of us but 25 win a day at Hay literary festival watching a live episode of his show.

Thanks for the birthday wishes everyone. It was just nice to have the cooker working again! Can't believe they are going to deliver my wine at 8am tomorrow - think its actually against the law in Scotland! Tesco can't deliver alcohol in its orders before 10am anyway.
Sorry about your car MMS - hope you get something sorted soon. Good luck with the story comp.
I have had news that I am to be a Dorset Cereal Tester - won so much of it last year from various comps that I should be good at it! They are sending me two packets to compare at the end of the week.

Morning all,

Was up and showered early this morning to get my wine delivery! Two guys arrived at 7.50am, they had stayed in a hotel in town as they got here after midnight. They had come from London and delivered one in Middlesbrough first. Had to show them ID too. I'm really pleased with my 6 bottles but the delivery must have cost a fortune !



Hope everyone has a good day. Sun is shining here again so hopefully get a nice walk later.
