Thanks for your comments re: my organisational skills. TBH, it's nothing special / rocket science, but I am quite disorganised as a person and it helps me to have a routine. It also makes me feel a lot more in control of the situation and I *love* looking at the debts diminishing!
BTW, have all us DMPers seen this article about a day in the life of CCCS? Very interesting:

Thanks for the link SAAC, Ive just had a quick read. The figures and the amount of calls they are reporting really are astonishing.

Taken from my diary...
Today we got a letter from Yorkshire Bank saying 'thanks for the amount of £** but 'this wasn't the amount we were expecting'. (tough). 'Please pay the remainder of the balance etc etc'. They've advised that, if we're struggling, we might like to get hold of a debt help charity. Shows that they've ignored all correspondence from us and CCCS so far then, but still accepted the money! So, not only are they going to get *another* we're with CCCS please talk to them type letter, they're also getting a letter apologising that in Feb they're only getting a token payment of £1! They're going to love that aren't they?! *sigh*
Should we be worried, or just send the letters? Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93
Oct 2013 = Current debt: £39.054.70

Thanks. That's what I was thinking really. This is our smallest debt, the ex overdraft £1,870. I Guess if they put a default on then that's actually more helpful perhaps. Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

Hello all,
Quick question before I catch up. Anybody have Barclaycard debt and in a dmp with Payplan??
They haven't issued the payment to Barclaycard along with our other payments. However all the payments went at the same time in Jan. I'm confused as if this is a bulk payment thing that Batclaycard request why didn't they delay payment in Jan too??SPC5 #1457 Long hauler #293

Well after 6 years, we will be making our final payment on our DMP to Payplan at the end of February. Its been a long road, lots of battling with creditors, Lloyds being our main problem, but couldn't be happier that the end is in sight. So worth it!!!
And thanks to this thread over the past few years, I received lots of invaluble advice.
Good Luck everyone!!DFD February 2012

Hi MozzyC
It's absolutely amazing what you've achieved. You must be so proud. Well done.

Hi Everyone I am new to this I have been lurking for a few months after the worst year ever! I began my DMP in December 2011 after my LBM after months of sleepless nights not knowing what to do (I didn't know DMPs existed) I thought there was no way out. I went onto CCCS website and filled in all my outgoings and income and they suggested a DMP. I am now onto my 3rd payment I am sleeping better but been diagnosed with high bloodpressure (proberbly through the stress). I still have a few thing to sort as Barclays who I have a bank account with on my DMP have sent 2 payments back to cccs when I rang them they said it was because they hadn't been in touch to advise of my DMP even though I had wrote to them myself 3 times. The other problem I have is the DMP is in my name as all the debts are in my name but I have a joint Llloydstsb overdraft with my husband which is included for £5000. I am not sure how this will work as if they start coming after him to pay the overdraft all in one go we wont be able to. He is trying to pay a bit in each month but he has no spare cash either. To top it off I have just had to scrap my car so no transport to get to work. I have sent an email to cccs and asked if I can miss a payment to buy a cheap little car for £500 I am waiting for a reply but don't want to rock the boat with creditors as most are still charging interest and have not said they have accepted my DMP. I have 48k worth of debt and am paying £400 a month for the next 10 years, not sure i can go on for 10 years feeling like this. I have never been depressed always been a positive person but I am really struggling at the minute. Had our house on the market for a year but didn't sell, I am pleased now as it wouldn't have cleared my debt anyway and Im glad I can keep it. Sorry to ramble I have got lots of questions but still feel I have done the right thing. I love this forum and have had lots of help reading posts. I just though I would introduce myself and join in. xLBM DEC 2011 Started DMP DEBTS 49K DFD DEC 2021. GOAL TO BE DF BY 2017 :beer:0

MozzyC - Congratulations!!! It's hearing things like this that gives me hope. My first payment to CCCS went out today so I'm just at the begining but at least it has started.
All my lovely preditors have ignored the contact from me and CCCS, my Halifax Credit Card even said they haven't recevied notice of the DMP even though they were the only ones to write back and reject it.....hmmmmm.
I've decided to challenge myself to have one or two 100% free weekends a month (not that I'm splasing the cash the rest of time) but I thought a little challenge would spur me on to find more productive free things to do with my time and focus on the good rather then the phone calls and letters.0
