The Allypops household was naughty this evening and had a takeaway from the local chippy. It was great at the time but then we all felt yukky. I think we are not used to the high fat content or something. The fact it has put us off though should be good for MSE ways. Back to from scratch home cooking tomorrow!

I hate it when treats aren't enjoyed or come back to bite you in the bum!

We have completely gone off Chinese takeaway and make our own or save it as a restaurant treat for birthdays but we do have an occasional takeway curry. Thanks to advice from my twin HH, we just order the curry and sort out our own rice and/or bread. This makes it semi MSE or that's my excuse and I am sticking to it :rotfl:

Has anyone got a template of a 2nd letter to send to Lloyds regarding a request for them to freeze interest? My debt is increasing rather than going down as they are still charging full interest on my loan, despite accepting my reduced payment. I sent a letter to them on the 4th December, but it has been ignored so far.

Barclaycard seem to still be charging 3% per year interest, which is ok.

    Thanks in advance :)

Have you reported Lloyds TSB to the FOS?

Lloyds TSB have 8 weeks to respond to your complaint but there is nothing to stop you getting the FOS involved in your complaint from the start.

I know I sound like a cracked record but getting the FOS on your side really works and it costs your creditors money.

    1. complain to your bank, insurance company or finance firm

It's important that you complain first to the business you're unhappy with – and give them a chance to look into your problem. They have eight weeks to do this. We can help by contacting the business for you, and telling them about your complaint.

Does anyone know if it's possible to change the date you pay Stepchange? We usually pay on the 1st of the month and that usually suits us but we've just recevied a very large tax bill that has to be paid byt 31st Jan and could do with having that money to put towards it. I would only need to put this months payment back to the 8th or 15th and could then go back to the 1st from next month.

Ignore my question above, managed to sneak out of work for a quick phone call to them and they have said it can be moved to the 8th so have done that for the month of Feb then it will automatically revert back to the 1st March - phew! xx

Thank you TTFTM. I applied for seven jobs in total so I am hoping to hear about the others next week now. Basically everyone's contract has finished so everyone is having to apply for their jobs again, although the restructuring that has gone on has resulted in some completely new positions. The difference in my case is that they have decided to close where I work but I am allowed to apply for the new jobs in other areas along with everyone else. My concern is that the people who already work in those areas will have the advantage of local knowledge but there's not a lot I can do about that.

We would really struggle on just OH's wage and there wouldn't be much left over to go towards our debts. I would hate having our DFD pushed back to infinity and beyond so I better really shine at these interviews!

Are the jobs within reasonable travelling distance or would you have to move house?
