    Hey all,

Just had our annual review with CCCS. Managed to get our payment up by £24pm. Not much but anything more coming off the debt is a good thing.

We're two years in now and, honestly, it has been a lifesaver. We feel in control of our debt for the first time, probably in both our adult lives tbh. It no longer dominates every discussion or lurks in our minds during restless nights. It's just debt, and we're paying it. Big wow!

On Barclays / Barclaycard etc....my belief is, they look at their @rses and their elbows and genuinely have difficulty telling the difference.... try not to worry about their <probable> incompetence, everything tends to settle down fairly quickly.

Keep fighting the good fight y'all.

    :rotfl:

That really made me laugh SAAC and I think it applies to a few more preditors, not just Barclays :D

Great news on the review and the mind set :T

Any newbies who haven't read SAAC's blog on CCCS should give it a go :)

    Hi Guys

I last posted in 2010 when i first started my plan and what a roller coaster it has been!!

My debt was 18,500 and every month was difficult, i am now over two years into the plan and my current debt stands at 11,400 and my payments ar £234 a month (just had a review and reduced the paymets by £50) My debt free date is 2016 although i am aiming to pay it off earlier.

Do you have a link to the blog?
    LBM 12.09.12 - £53K in debt.
    DFD - 11.07.2019 (OMG).
New DFD is 28.10.2018 due to paying the absolute maximum.

Thanks to everyone on the DMP forum, and to SC for helping me out of this huge hole.

Thanks TTFTM. Everyone needs a little giggle every now and then :rotfl:

And ta for sharing my blog. It was in my sig, then lots of links in sigs were taken away in a forum spring-clean, I was given permission to re-insert mine but the system doesn't want to play ball. I will pursue it with the techy-ones again.

Well done Jupster, and I too agree. Without the help and support I found here, I dread to think what an ungodly pickle I'd be in right now! We need to help each other - knowledge is power. Man

    Good afternoon all!

My DMP started at £32k and it's now down to £4k, it was due to end by April. My other half has just lost her job and will be out of work beginning of December meaning my income will be the only one. As it stands it looks like I'll have to drop my DMP to about 40% of what it is, which I'm gutted about seeing as the end is so near!

Has anyone had to do this and encountered any problems either with the CCCS or creditors?

    Thanks

When i initially started the plan i was paying £304 a month and now paying £234

    Please try not to worry:eek:

Every bit that comes off the debt brings you that little bit closer to your DFD... Well Done:T
