Totally agree. Good to know for the future as well, although I'm 10 months off mine
Even a £20 increase is better than nothing at all and will help shave off a few months to your DFD. Well done!
Fuel costs....grrrrr. Interesting to note that fuel prices will be investigated, although I'm not counting my chickens on that actually resulting in anything!Time_to_face_the_music wrote: »Is it 1000 posts?

I think it is 750. I had a look at the members section in Community and was really surprised to see how many people had signed onto the forum who have only posted a couple of times.Standingtall wrote: »Well done Payplan, well done Creditors and well done Me:T
Well done from me too:DDMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Well I called Santander today and it seems I was worrying unnecessarily. The outstanding interest is the remaining amount of interest that was agreed at the time the loan was taken out. The Gross amount has been steadily decreasing by the amount that we pay each month and it is merely there method of differentiating arrears/interest and balance (apparently). We had a difference on there statement against the figure on CCCS, however this was because we only ever gave an estimate outstanding balance. A bit of a downer really as its added just over £2K to our outstanding amount and an extra 10 months to our DFD. Time now to check other balances and get a more accurate DFD.
I think now I need to accept that the DMP is a long term fix and not a quick way out. We will get there eventually, like I have seen people do on this thread, just have to get used to not having spare cash and living within our means.
Good and bad days.......just like everyone I guess.
Anyway thanks for the support and inspiration0 -

Yup good and bad days, but at least you sorted out the query with Santander.:T
Can be hard to stay positive when the bad days out weigh the good, but when that happens I go back to my spreadsheets (are you listening TTFTM and HH?) and see how much I have paid off and how much interest I haven't paid on the debts where it has stopped. That cheers me up.
Is geekiness catching?:rotfl:DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Good news then
Yes try to think of DMP as more of a marathon than a sprint

I want to be in the spreadsheet club. I love spreadsheets. I live on them (my job), but even outside work I seem to have a spreadsheet for everything. I even had a spreadsheet for my daughter's birthday party... well two actually... one to work out the games / timings etc and the other to work out cost of party / how to get most impressive party out of least amount of money etc. It never even occurred to me it might be weird until hubby pointed it out to me :rotfl:0
