I've had another look at the statement and it's all nonsense! It quotes all this 'failed to make minimum payment' stuff, plus 'arrears due immediately' but then under all that it says estimated interest is £0.00!

Does this suggest to you that they've frozen the interest?

I wish they would just let me know what's going on :(

It does, I get the occasional HBOS CC statement which says the same.

I now know why Royal Mail is referred to as snail mail.;) Today HSBC sent me a reply to my letter from 2 months ago saying they were putting my payments on hold (but not interest) until they receive my budget. :) (That would be the one CCCS sent them 2 weeks ago). Shame about the payment freeze as they'll be getting one anyway next week from my dmp payment!:D

At least it's some form of acknowledgement though, so RESULT!:j

Just dropping in to update you on my news, our first DMP goes out on Saturday and so far we have heard from 3 of our 13 creditors.
Lloyds have accepted our payment plan, frozen interest and defaulted us straight away on our two credit cards with them.

Next Directory have accepted the payment plan and frozen interest, no sign of a default from them yet.

Haven't had a single phone call so far (might be because I changed all contact numbers to fake ones before signing up to the DMP!) but at the moment it's going well. Don't like to think about what could be round the corner though but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Well done! I think if I had 13 creditors I would be on drugs by now!:rotfl:You seem so calm and just taking it all in your stride.:T Good News with Lloyds and Next. Hopefully it will all snowball now. My first payment also goes out this week. I'm keeping (fairly) sane by convincing myself it will all have settled down by Christmas.:D

I do feel very calm about it all and I'm not really sure why. I think a part of me is so relieved to finally feel like there is an end point to this hideous situation and the other part of me is still thinking "can it really be this easy?".

I can't imagine the remaining 10 creditor's will be as nice but fingers crossed.

I did wonder about Lloyds, they haven't mentioned our 3k overdraft or my hubby's loan which were both with them. I guess I just wait for them to write about those?

Have you had much contact from your creditor's? I did change all my contact numbers to fake ones before I started the DMP so that could be why I've not heard a peep out of any of them.

Oh that will be different departments. They don't talk to each other! Don't be fooled into thinking they all work for the same company!:rotfl:

I've written to them more than they've written to me! :D I first sent letters and tokens at the beginning of july. Around middle of august I started to get the automatic 'you haven't paid' letters. One default, two late fees. Loads of calls from HSBC (never answered because you have no hard evidence from calls;)). A nice understanding letter from Barclaycard :T(I was so wrong about them, sorry Barclaycard :o) followed by a nice letter and answer machine message from Tesco.:) This week a nasty statement from Santander :( but 0% interest (I think it was just automated) and today a letter from HSBC putting payments but not interest on hold.(And I only have 4 creditors!).

I'm just playing it by ear, hoping that once the dmp gets going the letters will start to make sense and then I can write an appeal to anyone who still wants to charge interest. Bear in mind that even though we pay CCCS on 1st they have until 25th to pay our creditors so you might not get anything positive for another month or so. It's going to be a long month so I plan to pack the kids off to school, have a clearout (and try selling on ebay) and do a bit of early/late Spring cleaning! I think keeping busy will help to keep me positive!
