Hi Folks,
I got a provisional offer 3 weeks ago, but they have not given me any idea as to where I will be working.
After reading how far away your offices are I am getting VERY worried. I live in Chester and don't drive, the only ones in my travel range are Chester, the Port and Northwich . .
Has anyone had an offer for these area's ???
After all this waiting it would be dreadful to be offered a job I would have to decline
Hi, I live on the wirral so applied because Ellesmere Pt and Neston were on the list. I've just had the call today and they said that there are no vacancies left in these areas. I've been offered something in Greater Manchester which I have agreed to but its not ideal. Also, they said all vancancies are full time only.Lynsey0 -

I did ask about how locations had been given as my preferred choice was Durham and was told by the lovely guy who rang that there were no jobs for that office and that they had given us jobs based on distance from home. I mentioned my holidays towards the end of July but he said so long as I could do the 2 week training they would be ok so yay!
I got the call last Thursday, offering me a position in the Durham & Tees Valley area, starting 9 July. The man on the phone advised that he would update the CS Job Site the following day. But it still says Provisional Offer!!
I am getting a bit angsty about handing my notice in etc. Has your CS page been updated??0 -

I was advised over 2 weeks ago of a firm offer (starting next Monday) I have already handed notice in and finished job, as I wanted a week to chill and prepare myself. As yet the only update I have on CS page is withdrawal from other 2 provisional offers. My firm offer still says Provisional offer... yet I have been advised to report to the job centre next Monday at 9 am so I shall do that...0 -

Thanks for that, I was afraid this was the case although when I applied it was only for PT and I was assured I would get one of my top 3. looks like I may have to give up hope on this one argg!!

Found out where I am on the reserve list. I am currently sitting/festering at 45.
Realistically there is no way I'll be offered a place. Had I been postioned at 10-15 I would still be living in hope...
I think for those of us who are on the reserve lists in London with scores of 33 and lower it is now time to start or carry on with the the job search!.. I'm usually quite optimistic and have been in my previous posts on this forum. However, reality has now kicked in and I am moving on.
I feel positive that I made it this far but it's obviously not meant to be. A previous poster wrote - "The reserve lists are for those who were unsuccessful" and I agree. Unless DWP realise they have made a massive C**K up and have not recruited enough candidates we'll end up in the "special" filing place which is located under a desk!
Wishing you all the best of luck in whatever you do
