Thanks :j LMRA...what does that stand for? What exactly does it entail? Now I'm over the initial excitement I can start worrying about doing the job, haha.

I called them after phoning disclosure scotland. The guy was helpful and phoned the guy managing my areas recruitment to find out what was going on.

I must admit the wait is so painful! I would love a start date, then I can start waiting about how well I will fit in the job!

I received my provisional offer for S. Yorkshire on the 21st April. Tried ringing the crb today for some info and they said they haven't even got my paperwork yet,

Can anybody please advise me on what to do next

I had my provisional offer on April 7th...so two weeks before you, and I only had my firm offer today.

My CRB paperwork was submitted to Disclosure Scotland 23rd April apparently and it took just under 2 weeks for me to receive it. I sent it off to DWP on 5th May (they would have received it Tuesday 8th May) and I received it back from them the following day! Took 8 days from them receiving my CRB to phoning me with a firm offer.

DWP are dealing with HUGE volumes of applications and my timescales can only be used as an indication...it will no doubt vary from district to district.

It has been such a long wait...but hold on in there, that final phonecall is sooooooo worth the wait! x

Thanks Dan. I think I'll try Disclosure Scotland again tomorrow and see what they say. I can then try the Recruitment Line again and see if somebody more helpful than the last guy answers! He just kept repeating he couldn't help me, end of....At least if I knew the form had actually got as far as DS I might settle down a bit. At the moment I'm convinced it's got lost!

I'm South Yorkshire too, and will ring Disclosure Scotland tomorrow. Then you'll know if it's just you or maybe all of us.

Yes it is the same area, although followed some/ most of the posts in this forum, this is the first mention I've seen of this district! (would rather not say exact location on open forum if thats ok!)
