im in the same boat my certificate was posted to dwp yesterday so i think will have to keep waiting another week or so atleast ;(

I applied for Northumbria/Tyne and Wear. Scored 41/45 at interview (97% on test). Unfortunately didn't secure a position, was placed on reserve list. I sent an email on 23 April requesting position on list ... and have just received a response confirming I am 17th!

Pleased that I have finally received a response. Was hoping to have been placed higher. Now that I know I haven't, think it's finally time to move on with my life!!!

I finally received an email this morning telling me i am '3rd' on the reserve list for Durham and Tees valley, if that is the case then im so close but i guess its just a waiting game. People seem to be getting told different positions on the reserve list all the time, does anyone else know anything from this district

Also has anyone who was placed on a reserve list originally been offered an actual position yet?

Well I got my copy of the disclousre today which that DWP had forwarded me so I know THEY'VE got it (although I wouldn't put it past them to have lost it!). WHY OH WHY haven't they contacted me??????

I'm sure someone said they've been given a start date of 11th June, if the department are planning on that being a general start date, they've screwed that up considering a lot of people need to give 4 weeks notice.

We should lay bets on how much longer it'll be!

Does any previous or current dwp employees know whether or not holidays will be honoured?

I have had July holidays booked for a while but no mention has been made so far about this subject. Im guessing they will offer a start date mid-late June and given its 3 months training, my family are concerned they may not grant leave for holidays so soon after starting.

Obviously the job is more important and I wouldn't want to jeopardize that but the holiday issue has been on my mind.

Depending on when your holiday is, they may just say it will make more sense to start after your holiday. I'm in a similar situation, in that I go away first 2 weeks of July. As I still haven't heard anything, I doubt I will be given a start date before late June, so there wouldn't be much sense in starting before

Is it really 3 months training? Does that take place on the job or at a distinct training location? Useful to know as I will be re-locating. Any feedback appreciated. Thanks.

Hi everyone,

Just joined today, but like a lot of people, have been lurking in this thread for months now. Just wanted to say that for those of us on waiting lists not to givup hope. I was on waiting lists for North, East, and West London, and yesterday evening I recieved a provisional offer for West London. I had given up on this job so it was a nice surprise to see the email.

Anyone else from here got an offer for West London?

Anyway, I'm sure as more people with multiple locations and people who drop out surface, spaces for work will clear. Best of luck everyone.
