You'll be right at the top though - I got an offer on 35 :)

(And if I get an offer in B&S will be declining it... so you're in ;) )

You've got a very good chance of it being bumped if 35 is the cut off. A lot of people will accept B&S is my thought.

Hmm I do think that the process is slightly unfair. From what I am reading, if you get an offer from your home district, and then another offer from a neighbouring district in which you applied for, your able to choose which one you would like?

I dont like this idea. I think if you passed for your home district, you should have to accept it. I fully understand though that if you dont pass for your home district, you should be able to accept an offer from a neighbouring district.

Does seem a bit unfair.

It'd be unfair if they made me accept my home district and travel over an hour to work when the neighbouring district is more convenient.... I applied for both, I should be assessed for both.

The thing is matt, it is not the army, and each region was an individual campaign. Last I looked it was a free country and people had the freedom to choose what they did with their life.

I applied for Northumbria/Tyne & Wear and had a score of 37 and have been unsuccessful.

I received 8,8,8,7,6 on my interview and i see someone with the same overall score but with individual scores of 8,,8,7,7,7 has been placed on the reserve list.

May be that the final decision on the reserve cut off has come down to achieving 37 in total but with each individual competancy scoring 7 or above.
that theory certainly makes sense. I do feel for you missing out on the reserve list by so little. particulary when job offers are flooding in, in other parts of the country on lower scores.

Which leads me to think that the reserve lists may not be as long as we first thought, and from a selfish point of view it gives me some hope that I may be near the top of it, with a score of 40, however this just makes me feel worse as people in the next district (Durham) are receiving job offers on this score.

I guess like i said, it really has come down to a post-code lottery :(

Good luck to all of you with offers, its been a long, long journey to get this far x now get those acceptance emails in so they can start on the reserve list hahaha xxx

Fingers crossed for everyone x

I have been reading my offer email and found this bit of news interesting.

If this is the only Executive Officer vacancy for which you have
applied, please confirm, by replying to this email within 5 working
days, whether or not you wish to provisionally accept this offer.
Please include reference number and location in email subject heading.
Email address to respond to is; ESSR.NORTHEAST@DWP.GSI.GOV.UK

It looks like I am given a preference re: location.

I might be completely wrong however I would of thought the location would be where you got the offer e-mail from

e.g. ' East London ' rather then a particular office?

Thats what I thought too... :)
