Janabiyah-Jane wrote: »Was there somewhere specific on the application where you had to request part-time? I don't remember seeing this and I will find it difficult to work full time as a single parent... When I was an FTA I worked full time during the term time, and 3 days a week in the school holidays it suited me down to the ground... Can't imagine I would be that lucky again, if I am lucky enough to be offered a job..
It was on one of the forms we had to complete after the interview, I just ticked the box next to part time only, and then underneath I wrote that I was flexible with days.
When I was an FTA I worked full time and my son was in full time nursery, I would drop him off at 8am and pick him up at 6pm, he would be in bed by 7pm, so I hardly saw him
This time around, I am hoping to do 18.5 hours over 3 days, finishing around 3pm, which would enable me to pick my son up from school when he starts full time in September. I also have a baby who will be in nursery, so the shorter days would be ideal as I could see her for a few hours before bed.
Just hoping there's a local JCP willing to take on a part time candidate, as I know it's business needs basis?!0 -
Hi all
Got the same email 3 times , fed up with all the waiting . Cant believ this but thought i had not got enviroment officer job i went for at the same time but got a call and got the job . Another out of thew running , wonder how many are out of running since they took so long to sort it ! İ hope all on this board get the job they want ! Good luck to each and everyone .
Dwp how not to run a recruitment camp ! Tests should have been harder , with a greater sift , silly cost etc to intrvirew so many people

Well done in getting the post! Hasn't it been 3-4 weeks even to hear about this job? maybe it just the CS as a whole that's pretty slow0 -
Word is that emails were issued weeks ago but due to technical problems they wouldn't send in bulk. People are getting multiples now because the earlier ones are coming through. Begs the question why those on the recruitment line weren't told the info in the email though. I'm up to three now
Worryingly I applied for midlands area, but one of mine is from the North East region...
North East region is where the central communications team ESSR is based. That is why you're getting NE Region emails guys.0 -
Just recieved same email - let's hope we hear soon
On separate Note I have an interview for an adviser role With A4e at end of the week, has anyone gone for interview with them in the past and able to give any advice please? Have been told it will be competency based on the A4e DNA and a role play?
Thanks again amd goodluck to all xxx
I work there.
Will pm you!0 -

The DWP have finally decided to E-mail us to let us know what's happening! The waiting was getting really frustrating. Well... let's hope this means we will begin to hear good news on here very shortly. Thanks to all that have contributed during the last few weeks, has kept me sane to some extent knowing I'm not the only one playing the waiting game! Very best of luck to everyone and i hope you are all successful. Just think.....not long left now..!!:j:j  :j:j0
