Wouldn't it have been helpful to issue e mails such as this weeks ago, keeping people informed.
OK Guys n gals...the end is nigh!
Can I just say good luck to each and every one of you.
Good luck!!0 -
Sorry my mistake, i thought it was out of 50 (10 for each competency) i did better than i thought
They need the passport to prove my residency, its crazy, they can pay me JSA with the I.D I have yet cant be employed as its insufficient?
The manager actually phoned me today to let me know they are trying to get me a payment from the Adviser Discretionary Fund to cover the cost of a passport so it does seem really positive. Fingers crossed i'm sick of being at home all day, Only applied for part time as i've kids at home but I will be so much better off working its just a nightmare where i live to find a job and most i apply for dont even give me an interview as im over qualified, luckily my JS adviser suggested I tried a new career and gave me the application info. She has been an angel but even she finds it frustrating that someone wants to work so much yet can be held back by a passport
Hopefully they can sort it out for me, she did say they werent going to be startinf people for up to 4/6 weeks so I would still have time to get a fast track passport application done
good luck to everyone waiting xx

2 emails from 2 different email addresses ESSR NORTH EAST (12:38) and customer services (17:15) both say exactly the same thing. I only applied to one district (West Yorks)0

Word is that emails were issued weeks ago but due to technical problems they wouldn't send in bulk. People are getting multiples now because the earlier ones are coming through. Begs the question why those on the recruitment line weren't told the info in the email though. I'm up to three now
Worryingly I applied for midlands area, but one of mine is from the North East region...0 -
You will get 2 emails as the ESSR one is from shared services and the other will be from Civil service site0

If you check your CS web site and check your application status it will still show Applicant Status: Scheduled for 1st interview
You are now scheduled to attend the next selection event.
Please make sure that you are available at least twenty minutes before your scheduled slot
You need to check "View Communication" status and then look at the bottom to see the email from resourcing.customerservices@dwp.gsi.gov.uk0 -
Got one email from customer service, Eventually. Its like frustrating, everytime, I try to forget and start getting on with life, dwp prompts. Interview was on .01.03.12, so hopefully will hear something soon, everything is crossed.
Dear Candidate
Thank you for your interest in the recent DWP EO Operations recruitment campaigns which attracted an unprecedented level of response. We received over 61,000 applications, which was more than double to what we received when we ran large scale exercises three years ago in a very similar labour market and economic climate. Throughout competition has been stiff and from about 45,000 people who were successful in the online test, we produced an interview shortlist of about 10,000.
Clearly, managing such significant volumes at each stage has led to a delay in the issuing of results and for this we can only apologise. Results will be issued from today and will continue to be issued throughout April. We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your patience during this process.
Once results have been input each candidate will receive an email which asks that they access the online recruitment system and check their communications centre. It may also be beneficial to check your communication centre regularly prior to receiving this prompt.
Please note that the Recruitment helpline is unable to give you any further information in relation to the progress of the campaigns. Please only contact the helpline if you have a technical or process issue.

Any update on how many posts are actually available, for 10,000 interviewees?0

During the 2009 recruitment campaign, we didn't have the CS portal to view feedback/communication but things back then were just as slow as they are now. I have just had a look at some of my older MSE forum posts to compare time scales and it took 5 weeks and 2 days from interview to success letter, so going on that theory I should hear by Friday
Also, I wonder if we will find out what position on the merit list we are via the success email? In 2009 it was the recruitment line that informed me that I was #45/150 on the merit list, but this had no impact on the order that they posted candidates, my CRB had been misplaced so people further down the list who had received their CRB back were posted before me.
Very frustrating and would hate to be in that position again.0
