One suggestion , If each district make their list in order of merit and considering all home and other candidates and sends it to the centre.
The centre then see if a candidate is in more than one merit list and asks the person on phone which one he / she wants to keep , Rather than making an offer from a disrict but not from other district at he same time .not knowing all the results, it's difficult to reject an offer.
after keep doing it, the centre will have one post per person, and can start sending out offer letters and will be able to tell others their number in order of merit.
I fear due to this new system may be people will end up accepting whatever comes first and long delayed process.0 -
Hi To you all,I had my DWP interview in March in Manchester for an EO position in the North West.I scored 37 on my interview and from what I have read on the net, this is quite a good score. I am an external candidate so wasn’t expecting to get anywhere but reading all these comments has given me a little hope. I am not hanging around waiting for them to eventually give me a job, so still trawling the net looking for work and going to interviews along with thousands of other people.I have heard nothing over my way but will let you know when news has arrived . . . could be a very long wait !!!Good luck to you all0

I just received this email, I had applied for the Birmingham and Black Country Region.
To all candidates
Thank you for your interest in the recent DWP EO Operations recruitment campaigns which attracted an unprecedented level of response. We received over 61,000 applications, which was more than double to what we received when we ran large scale exercises three years ago in a very similar labour market and economic climate. Throughout competition has been stiff and from about 45,000 people who were successful in the online test, we produced an interview shortlist of about 10,000.
Clearly, managing such significant volumes at each stage has led to a delay in the issuing of results and for this we can only apologise. Results will be issued from today and will continue to be issued throughout April. We would like to take the opportunity to thank you for your patience during this process.
Once results have been input each candidate will receive an email which asks that they access the online recruitment system and check their communications centre. It may also be beneficial to check your communication centre regularly prior to receiving this prompt.
Please note that the Recruitment helpline is unable to give you any further information in relation to the progress of the campaigns. Please only contact the helpline if you have a technical or process issue.

So, why couldn't they have told me this yesterday on the helpline rather than telling me it was potentially weeks away? Idiots! Thanks for posting though.0 -

Thanks to all for info but I haven't had one direct email from CS all the way through the application. All communication has been on CS web site once I log in.
I don't know how anyone else feels but I always get a little bit scared logging on and wondering if I am going to click on "Withdraw Application" by mistake each time I go to "View Communication"!0 -
I did not receive the email but I'm not going to worry about that! Lets just wait and see if April actually means April!0
