Hey Greemberet, I sent my working locations form via hotmail and havent yet received a response from it so I'm guessing it's nothing to worry about!
Anyone else dreading the interview????0 -
I got 83% overall. I am disappointed.
Does anyone have idea what the final % would be like
Test = 83% ( assuming 80% is cut off point)
Competency statement= ?
Interview= ?
Overall =???
In order to be offered a postion.
I bought a scratchcard from tesco yesterday and won £15,000, I should be happy I know but I'm more disappointed that I didn't win the top prize of £25,000...
Come on 83%!! I seriously don't understand some people!0 -

Yes, I agree. People should be delighted at such a result. I don't know why anyone would be 'disappointed' with this score unless it's false modesty.0 -
I suspect some people are looking for reassurance, perhaps because of the huge number of applications. You would expect the pass rate to be high because it needs to be to sift out a large number of applications.
Does seem a bit thoughtless to be posting about individual high scores when there will be alot of people scoring far less. Maybe that's just me though......0 -
You probably right, only if this score is good enough to secure an interview and contribute to the final merit list.Otherwise.....
I was put on waiting list(EO) previously and never made through to actually getting a job. There are only 1200 vacancies for external applicants ( 50,000) applied for those vacacies. So only high performing 2% have bright chance. 83% means way below top 2%. So if one gets 9% or 90% does not matter if it is not landing a candidate to secure an interview.
Surely , those out there with 98-99% have all the odds in their favour.0 -
I'm not sure. I think if your score is over whatever the passmark is deemed to be, it will be all about the competencies. Someone may have scored 75% and had fantastic competencies, however, someone scoring 98% could have weak competencies.
Who knows?
I can only speculate because I'm not involved in the recruitment process.
Hopefully the process won't take too long and we will all be put out of our misery soon0 -

Thoughtless for trying to share information? I can see no real benefit in people not mentioning high scores, it doesn't make it any easier for those who may not have scored so well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. My thinking is that say 50,000 applied and you got a score of 65% youve beaten at least 25,000 others
25,000 people left in the process, they then review competencies and find that they are able to eliminate another 7000
18,000 people left for 1200 jobs ?? The fact is that 18,000 could be as low as say 14,000 as I am sure that more people will score lower on the test or their competencies will be scored low0 -

The test results will or will not get you through to the next stage (depending on whether you're above the pass mark or not)
The competencies will then be looked at and more people will be sifted out. Candidates will be back on a level playing field then as their scores in the test won't be taken into account
Those who make it through this stage will then be invited for interview. Your score at interview (and only that score) will determine place on the merit list0 -
I think too many people are getting to bothered about test marking, as obviously open to abuse.
I think more important is peoples compancies and previous experience that would suit. Job centre role.0
