  • Interviews for Scotland east ended on the 7th March - I know I was on the last day. Everyone from that region didn't get scores till yesterday as they were posting no scores or feedback till all interviews done. I know some people spoke to the recruitment line but I would take what they say with a pinch of salt. Only 65 passes I've heard so if u got over 4's you r in for a shout.

Recruitment line .. The number of vacancies depends on the budget given and will be confirmed in April. The outcome will be communicated between mid till the end of April. The start date somewhere in may .hth

The amount of posts got cut but they know what it is now. Heard about 50

The website checking game is over for me , this morning received aweful interview feedback, 54667, only 28 marks. I read somewhere on this thread that the pass mark cut off point is 30, I am out of running then.

Don't be disheartened, they are over 4's which were a pass but also there weren't many passes. So to get over 4 in all is gd. It's been different everywhere

Thank you very much for this useful post. It really lifted my spirit.:j:j:j

Spirits should be high! I've tried to not say to much but I know that it's been a difficult recruitment in that region so to get to the pass stage is gd! :T well done. I got 5 7's and I am really positive it will be gd news. When I asked interviewers about start date she said April may! And when I got my scores for for first sift I got them a week before I got an email for interview so I think we will have another week to wait to hear about being successful! Again I asked in interview when will people know if they r successful and I as told 2 - 3 weeks. One down 2 to go! :)

    Just a quick point on what Lorac says;
The internal or other government department recruits do not require CRB checks, according to my local area. As they're already Civil Servants, they can be moved into post very quickly.

Another point is that not everyone who is accepted will start straight away. They cannot train everyone "en masse". Some people who they intend to recruit will get "reserve list" letters and get offered a position prior to their training starting. This is to prevent people deliberately refusing alternative work while waiting to start.

    hi Makembill,

do you happen to know how they decide who to take on first? i.e. highest scorers or ppl who are not currently working so therefore don't need to give notice? thanks :)
  • I had my interview in maidstone for the Kent region last Wednesday, I got my scores they were 88766 I've been so so worried as I'm not sure if these are good enough. I wish I had planned for it more but due to lack of time I couldn't. I only found this forum recently after my interview.

I've noticed that there aren't a lot of people on here that applied for the Kent region I've only seen 1 other person.

I wish everyone the best of luck!!!!!!!:):):):):)

    To our Scottish Cousins:

It seems strange to me that there has been no feedback whatever from Glasgow (and maybe other Scottish areas).

It makes you wonder if all of the jobs have been taken by surplus staff. I hope to God it isn't the case but why else would they be arsing about like this?

I signed on today MakemBill, felt like a minor celeb.....ooooo you’re the girl that got an interview.
Upwards of 10 staff in that office and 40 more from across the local GLED area were unsuccessful at sift/test stage. I was told that 2 hours before my interview....and quadruple dmy stress levels. Therefore I'm hopeful that it's just an admin delay and not as you suggested.

I'm told its highest score first choice and first in.

    May not be accurate though.

CRB checks guys. This is just a suposition, but if you've said you've nothing to hide you may get taken on before they come through. especially if you're training for a week or two before taking on cases. If CRB shows up nasties they would dismiss you without blinking.
