You are marked on what you say at the interview, it makes no difference whether they have seen your examples or not.
I have been interviewing the last couple of weeks and we have an hour to conduct the interview, agree scores and write up feedback.
I have not had the time to more than glance at the application for a quick overview to get some idea of work record to assist with questions.
It is perfectly acceptable to use the same examples if they fit the questions asked

Thank you so much. I was told the specifically say you cannot so that's a relief.

And lastly before I go back to crying over my notes, do I need a passport sized photo or not? The guidance I have says to bring one if you don't have photo ID. I have my passport. But some are saying you need one anyway?
  • Please? Anyone? Interview is tomorrow and I'm panicking.

Hi I used exactly the same competencies in the interview they haven't seen you online ones :)

I'm really not sure as all that is done by the admin staff before your interview. In the past you did as photos were sent to offices when you were posted to ensure you were the person that undertook the interview but I think they may just photocopy your passport now and send that
  • Does anyone know how quickly interview scores are shared on your feedback tab? I had my interview in Kent yesterday and felt it went really well....just want to know and wonder how long it takes for the scores to be shared :)

    Hi all.

There are some very good scores coming in here. I had my interview for T&W/Northumberland yesterday and my feedback was uploaded by lunchtime today.

I had 8 8 8 8 7 in my sift so I changed the competency that got 7 in the sift as I was asked to provide that example at interview...a gamble I know, but it’s fun to fly by the seat of your pants sometimes.

I managed 8 8 8 8 8 at interview so I'm naturally pleased with that. The personal comments from the panel too (2 interviewers, incidentally) were fantastic. This area interviewed 245 people for an estimated 60 posts.

Good luck to all still to be interrogated...oops sorry; I meant interviewed. It really was very gentle and mine lasted 50 minutes. Can I say you really do not need to overcook your preparations? If you know your competencies (and lets face it if you’ve got through he sift you should) you’ll be fine. If you don’t then how did you get there in the first place? Believe in yourself or you’ll be your own worst enemy.

As for people asking for others to send their competency, go sing! Why would you want to use someone else’s competency if you think you’re good enough for the job? Could you seriously expect to answer any additional questions asked? I don’t wish to sound rude, but if you’re not able to prove competency then you should not be going any further.

Fantastic! Well Done. You must be so proud of yourself! I think you will almost certainly get offered a position!

How did your scores measure to your written competence? I have been checking my feedback about ten times a day!haha.

1week since my interview, I have ants in my pants!haha.
Really really pleased for you. Its nice seeing other people doing so well :)

Thanks :) I am soooo chuffed with my scores. I got 7,7,7,7,7 for my online competencies.

I had my interview on 27th Feb, so it's been quite a while and I too have been checking my feedback tab a dozen times a day!

Wishing you lots of luck for your scoring xxx

As my post above suggests, it can be as quick as overnight. However I see a lot of people waiting a week and more. It seems to me that every area has there own agenda.

I did hear the staff at my interview centre saying that this is the first time they've ever used this system and there have been teething problems.

    Really...added irony please!

Just remember it's not the helpline's fault that things have gone pear shaped in some places. I'm not even sure if they're temporary agency staff or regular DWP staff. The comments I've seen suggest that they are not well trained.

My role as a security officer is based in a local jobcentre where I act as Team Leader for six other officers, guiding them in their daily duties and ensuring they operate at full capacity.
As a team leader my first role is to demonstrate certain qualities such as integrity, professionalism, clear communication skills that the other officers can then use as examples to follow. Additionally I am required to motivate and inspire my staff who can then be better placed to deal customers from such a varied background.
My role entails monitoring the performance of the other guards. I do this by observing them in their roles since I am usually in close proximity when they are discharging their duties. I then compare this to our performance indicators and targets to make sure these are being achieved.
I conduct performance reviews with my staff to give feedback which they can then incorporate into their daily roles in order to improve. This also gives me an opportunity to articulate to them any changes in our duties or development opportunities that will make us more conducive to success in our jobs
