    Had my interview yesterday.......

I was asked the dreaded question that I didnt want ' Can you give us another example? ' The reason being.... they ask you a specific question regarding the competence.... Customer Focus - Can you tell us a time when you did 'this' my Customer Focus answer didnt quite fit, so I had to adapt it all, so just prepare yourself and listen to the question and not just blurt out the competence.....

    I asked questions

How many positions - less than originally thought, its about 60
When are jobs due to start - April 2012
When will we find out if successful or not - end of March
How do they match the candidate to the location - that will be discussed in the NEXT interview stage....

It was very difficult to tell how my interview went, however the 2 ladies interviewing me were very nice and kept my nerves at ease. Im not sure how I got on, they said, WOW thats alot of information, Im getting writers cramp writing it and giggled, they also told me they couldnt fit anything else in and had to squeeze it down the bottom. Im taking that as a good sign???? Or do you think they were insinuating that I was rambling?

Its just so different to any other interview I have experienced, fingers are still crossed!

1 in 3 chance is good odds....... PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me get the job!! :(

    GOOD LUCK EVERYONE :)

Well done. From the sound of it you have done very well. You should be only worried if they have not written anything. All relevant information relating to the competencies are written down and then scored. Therefore, you have given them plenty to score you.
Did you explore the statement "Next interview stage"? Does it mean there is a second interview?
    Once again, Well Done!!!

Yeah theres another interview, but I dont think that will be a proper interview ( I hope ) Reckon thats when you will just be asked if you can work in certain areas and what role you would be best suited for etc..... Im not too sure, they dont like to give too much away.haha.

Fingers crossed I did ok, you had your interview yet? If not, you dont have anything to worry about, as long as you know your competences you should be absolutely fine, but be prepared to adapt your story slightly to focus on what they ask you in their question.....

Cant wait to hera back, she said scores should go on next week (Glasgow/Lanarkshire area).....more waiting, just hope its worth the wait now.... :P

    there is no second interview.
Once all the interviews have finished those candiates that scored less than 4 for any competency receive the no thank you letter and everyone else is ranked by score.
Candidates are then contacted in rank order and asked which location they would prefer.
Obviously if you scored really well you will have more choice than someone further down the list.
If you don't want to accept the location that is left then you will be removed from the list.

The ladies that interviewed me, said there was going to be another short interview? Maybe they meant just via telephone then. I didnt really ask anything else about it though.....:o

Mine is in 2 weeks. This should give me enough time to prepare. However, I would have like to have my competencies marked. But this was not the case. I shall be equipped with 2 examples for each competencies. Since these are related to what I have done, I feel it will be easier to remember. Positive thought: Any interview experience will be useful towards future job prospects.

just go through all the bullet points and make sure your competences match them (or at least tick off majority of them) and also follow S.T.A.R technique and you will be more than fine :)

    Hi all

quick update, ive been invited to interview!!! :D South London

Got the email through at 9:30 this morning. Looking at the interview schedule theres loads of slots, between 10th and 17th Mar at 5 different locations. Im guna have a little think and book it a bit later.

One question i have though, it asks for a P60 which covers employement for the last 3 years, which i dont have. i have my last one but due to a messy break up thats all i have. Do you think this will affect my application?

Could I ask the guys a question who've been interviewed? Those who were asked for a 2nd example for a Competency...were you allowed to finish what you'd started and then asked for a second example?

Or were you cut short and stopped, and asked to talk about another example?

Reason I ask...I've extended my original 5 answers to go as deep as I can, and if my nerve holds (which is very debatable Haha:D as I'm wobbly just thinking about it:embarasse), and I'm happy they're as good as I personally can do ...but if I was stopped and asked to describe something different, I'm not sure I could. Certainly not in detail.

    many thanks

That is how i feel rivage, sorry new to this and not sure how to include a past thread! I can only just see me getting through the original 5 competencies without them asking me for other examples of the same???????
