DWP Recruiting Again - 2012

There wasnt that many slots eh. I wonder whether there will be a few people for each time slot. I was hoping to be able to go back in and view them but couldn't after I had booked mine. Ive picked the 13th ooer!:rotfl:
I would have liked to count the slots around the various areas, but there were only five in my area, so I booked the one that suited me best (on the 12th) as fast as I could.
At a glance, and as you say, there didn't seem that many, even in Aberdeen or Dundee.
I went into the local JCP at lunchtime and the staff still don't know whether there are actually any jobs in the local office (Western Isles).
Best of luck with your interview. Where are you going for yours?0 -

My worry is proving where I've worked for the last 3 years. About 18 months ago my house was burgled and a lot of documents were taken, including unfortunately all my details from my role at tesco's from March-August 09.
Do you think if I ask Tesco to send me a confirmation of employment that the DWP would mind if it came a few days late? They actually checked it once before when I was employed by the DWP in Sept 09 but obviously they won't have a record of the checks!
I'm hoping that as long as I can get it to them by the time the interviews end I'll be ok. A bit worried though
Couldn't have just taken my belongings but left my p60/Wageslips could they

I had the same issue! I worked at a place for one month and i dont have a p45/p60 or wageslip for this company!! I have just dug out what I can.. from reading the sheets that have give it says that we have to provide these as soon as we can.. not on the interview date.. so im hoping i can get a letter headed paper from them confirming my dates of employment!!
Got my interview tomorrow so fingers crossed!! I think i have all my notes prepared and a whole wallet full of damn wageslips,p45s and all sorts! Just hope i dont get lost on the way there!0 -
crikey that's tighter than I thought then. They suddenly decided the other 40 weren't needed then. Oh well I shall console myself by having made it into the 180 then. Best of luck. Did you have yours at Beeches Road in Chelmsford?Mechanical_music_machine wrote: »Hi newbie here.
Anyway this forum has been of great help.
I had my interview today (Essex)
I was told there are 180 interviews for only 60 jobs so it's a case of 1 in 3 then. Seems there's not the 100 posts as initially advertised.
Good luck everybody and don't beat yourself up over the interviews you can only do your best.
Anyway im off for a well deserved drink.0 -
I had my interview in East London.
I was right about how many panels were interviewing and it corresponded with the available slots you could book.
This will be my last post on this thread.0 -

No they still need them but unfortunately treasury is back tracking on funding so most districts will have to settle for less than they were originally told they could have0
