Good luck to everyone waiting for DWP...
Very well done, congratulations to you and good luck in the new job, drinks on you then, we'll all be needing one by end of this process.:T:T:T:T0 -
I had an email today saying that I'd been unsuccessful and was on the phone having a bit of a grumble to my better half when another email pinged in saying sorry for the technical fault and that I have been invited to interview! Hooray! Interview is a week on Monday so I've plenty of time to prepare. Anyone with feedback on their interviews and the process would be gratefully received.0

Just goes from bad to worse this whole process is a fiasco !!
Imagine how you'd feel if it was reversed, offer you an interview followed by an email to say: "sorry no interview we made a mistake" !! It's gone beyond a joke
Congrats to you though.:T:beer:0 -

Believe me, I was booking the time slot quicker than you can say recall the email!! 13.45 at St Andrew's Square, Edinburgh (possibly one of the prettier locations for a job centre). Really looking forward to it (although naturally nervous too) and a great end to the week. I had a job interview this morning and end the day on this. I'm hoping it'll be like a London bus and two will come along at once0 -

Good for you booking the interview ASAP - I'd have done the same. But for heavens sake how on earth can they justify doing that and blaming it on a technical issue!? The issue isn't with the technology it is with the people using it IMHO.
Anyways good luck with the interview :T0 -
SNAP! I don't know which is worse. Having all 1s for one area, not knowing where my home office is because the area I work in has just copied the 1s over even though the first 1s came from an office that definatly is not my home office or that I have 2 areas on hold for the last 2 weeks. Do I sound as made as I am feeling just come back from a crap day in the office to top it off. Oh the wonderful world of the DWP.
It really seems to be those of us here in the middle of the country who are getting royally screwed on the marking issues. From what I was told today I'll be very surprised if we hear anything before the end of next week.0 -
Thanks everyone - really happy, just waiting for the ref check, CRB check and OH check to go ahead, may take 2 weeks (CRB check) but hey that is out of the employer's hands really......
The bottom line is, the process was smooooooooooooooooooooth, all closed up really fast unlike some
Will be still watching this thread and keep my fingers crossed for everyone on here0 -
For everyone waiting in this area they are going on between tomorrow & monday (bulk tomorrow)
Management are working overtime specially to get them on.... I know this 100%0 -
Hello all
Well going back on my word I'm going to post even though the interview was a complete train wreck.
The questions I got were kind of based based around the competencies but A lot more specific and they explicitly said 'aside from the example you used in the application..'
I had prepared other examples but the questions were so specific that I was struggling to make them fit. There was also s further test for maths and reasoning which I flunked the first time so no reason to think I'll do better this time.
Questions that I can remember: Give a time you have helped someone develop, a time when working in a team hasn't gone as planned and what you did to rectify the problem, and Give an example of how you have furthered your own development in the workplace.
There were two more but it was a bit of a blur. Oh well. Good luck to everyone else.0
