I'm so suprised, I thought my competencies showed good management skills etc, and I worked off their framework. This will be first time in 4 years I havent been shortlisted from competency based application.Baby Mazza due New Years Day 2013!0

One of them it says I demonstrated nothing for the competency at all, I've just read my competency again and I completely disagree! But there is nothing I can do, will just have to hope an AO fills an EO post so I can go for AO post instead!Baby Mazza due New Years Day 2013!0

I wonder if they have an appeal route for these things? Surely the marker cant make a final decison on the matter?
Or perhaps you can ask for further feedback?0 -

I'm not even sure how I can do that. I might be tempted to appeal if it's a possibilty.
The example that I scored 1 on was for professional practice, I spoke about how I managed a dangerous situation in a hostel involving a firearm, how I had increased the staffing previously to manage an incident occuring as the atmosphere was brewing and there had already been a violent incident that day. I even told them that when the person was bailed they were immediately evicted due to possesion of a firearm, and despite the fact that he had assaulted a member of staff earlier in the day and shot holes in the wall of building me and my manager still stayed at work until 2 am to ensure he had somewhere to go. Now if that doesnt show professionalism and commitment I dont know what does! It shows that I managed a situation, was able to make decisions of my own accord about staffing levels, risk assess a situation and act on it.
