Evening everyone, had a busy morning with all four grandsons at the dentist.we have moved them to the chap I go to as their other dentist was not really very good. The boys were all very good and even the youngest goes in on his own to see the dentist and he is only seven bless him.I am a bit paranoid about their teeth as I think its so important to look after them properly .I grew up with the 'school dentist' who never filled any just yanked them out.
I then dropped them all off at their various schools after their check-up and came home and had luch and put my feet up for half an hour and read the back of my eyelids :):)
Just going to make my dinner then watch some t.v. and do some knitting.I have a clear day off tomorrow as DD has this wednesday off and works Saturday instead so I can relax and do absolutely nothing tomorrow (I wish ) I will probably make some cakes as the cake tin is a bit depleted.
Hurry up with that little one JG as we are all dying to see what you have and hopefully a photo as well.
    Take care everyone

P.S. DGS Ben has been offered a place in sixth form at his grammar school, and I am so pleased as he really has worked his socks off .He is hoping to take chemistry, and physics and maybe English at A level, he want to join the army when he is 18 and is hoping to get into the Royal Engineers:j:j

    Evening all,

hve been missing for a few days, am soooo tired these days that I don't manage to stay awake until late evening, which is my usual time for coming on here.

Could do with some of your energy Beth....agree with all that you should be taking things a bit easier, but think that we might as well be talking to the wall! Just take care of yourself.

Seems I'm not the only one trying to lose weight...might help with energy levels. Have been reading in more than one place that New Year is not the time to do it, puts one under too much stress, so am using that as my excuse to finish all the sweet stuff here.....most of a C cake, Oxford lunch, C pudding....can't seem to get to the end of it, OH eats a little but not much help really! There are also 3 tins of chocolate biscuits, not a big biscuit eater so not bothered about them.

LW...positive vibes for some pain relief and sleep

Lou....one step at a time chicken!

uolypool....hugs for your son....although I suppose the last thing he wants is being hugged by an old biddy!

JG....think that Roo is aiming to be like my DD4....late for everything....maybe if you could resign yourself to another week or 2 he/she will make a move.....

    Hugs to all

    Marie

    Evening all,

I tried my swede in the micro and tbh It was not as tasty, I normally boil it with carrots and an onion, and then mash the lot together, so this time i microwaved the sweede, boiled the carrot and onion and then mashed it all, it was just not as tasty, so will go back to the old way, it was much quicker though.

Lamewolf, nice to see you posting, Dilly dog sounds like a right little character xx

    Evening all

Hugs to those in pain and those with troubles

Been a really busy 2 days at work and have come home exhausted. Had veg soup for tea as couldn't be bothered to cook - unfortunately no HM left, so had to resort to a tin lol (not too bad though as on offer in Asda - prefer HM though)

OS has been a bit on the back burner for the last few days as I haven't had the energy to do much, wm has been on and washing is on airers as weather very unpredictable here at the moment. The fence which was blown down last week has been put back by the next door neighbours - new panels as the old one was broken beyond repair by the wind -so will go round at the weekend and offer to pay half towards it, was an unexpected surprise to see it back in place today.:D

Might have an early night and do a little cross stitch in bed before I go to sleep, I need to crack on with things for the new (first) grand-baby, not due till June but I'm quite slow at crafty things as Im not very experienced (and not very good lol) and I want to crochet a shawl too - if anyone has a very easy (and quick growing!) shawl or baby blanket pattern I would be eternally grateful lol

    Have a good evening all

    Hi all,
SISTERCAS, ROSYRED, MONNAGRAM and BARGAINBIRD :A, I do hear what you are saying but I find it very difficult to rest, wish I could sometimes, anyhoo I managed 5 1/2 hrs so that made a big dent in the amount that needs doing. I will be taking things easier tomorrow as I'm having DGD3 from 9 - 1.30pm I haven't spent a lot of time with her so need to bond a bit more. I'm having her on Thursday a.m. so DD2 can take DGD2 to her swimming lesson.

Ahem! This is taking it easy???? Beth, heaven help us if you decide to be energetic and rush around.:D

I am exhausted. Have done all I wanted to though - cooking for tomorrow, spring cleaned and reorganised the breakfast room, cleared the hall of rubbish that has been dumped there by someone who should know better, and washed and dried, mostly TD I'm afraid, all the blankets and covers in the BR.
Now I'm just waiting for the kitchen floor to dry then I'm going to put the last few things away and go to bed with my book.:)
