    Morning dear friends :)

Its quite nice here today in a wintery kind of way.Dh is pricing an extension up,and also has to go and look at replacing a bathroom this afternoon. The people who want the bathroom are friends of ours and he's reasonably sure they will have it done, did their main bathroom a couple of years ago and they were really pleased with it-hope so :o

DS1 found the 2nd cake I was hoping to stash in the freezer, its half gone already :p.I didnt put it in straight away as its fruit cake and said to wrap in foil before cutting and leave for a day.Not much cooking today as its leek and bacon pasta so nice and easy.I may pop on the market later for more veg as DS2 has eaten nearly all the cauli and broc I got on Thursday on his healthy eating kick-spose there a worse vices:rotfl:

I tidied my sewing room/office yesterday, and my stash of fabric, hoping inspiration would strike, but it didnt. Also I decided I really dont understand how excel works so didnt start a spreadsheet(not mathematically minded :o at all) I just wanted something really simple to keep track of my grocery spending. Also been looking for Android apps for my tablet, but not sure so resorted to a notebook and pen for now:rotfl:

Huge hugs to those of you who were struggling yesterday xxx

...oh and Beth, decorating ,you must be feeling better, but dont go mad and burn yourself out :)

Morning ladies, just a quicky as off to the hospital. The drain has been removed from his face:j:j. He had a comfortable night sleep and has had something to drink but nothing to eat yet, they have apparently toldhim that he isn't allowed home until he has eaten a little so as I know he is really fussy about what he eats I have made him some slow cooker rice pudding and just popped it into a thermos flask to take up.I know he won't be able to resist home made rice pud.
Andrew is coming with me to see him, that should perk him up a bit, hopefully he can come home this afternoon/evening.

Haven't read the thread but hope all is well. Will catch up later.
    Lovely day for all

    Morning all!
Have been in bed since Saturday with a chest infection, all I have done is sleep! Mind you, now the antibiotics are kicking in and am on a more than friendly relationship with the loo!
Have made a big pot of chicken broth this morning, and am about to steam myself in the shower, how exciting is my life???
Big hugs to all who need, seems like lots of us at the moment, and come on Roo, lots of cyber-aunties are impatiently waiting for you!

I've lost 10.5lb :D The first week i followed a menu plan and did completely separate meals but since then i've been testing out some stuff on the family and now intend for us to eat the same stuff with a few exceptions.

    Hi.

    Come on JG: Boing...Boing...Boing.:D

Beth: For goodness sake be careful, this all seems very mad for you to be dashing around like this.

LW: May love surround you and keep you strong.

Lou: You know that you are in all our hearts. Just hang on in there sweetie.

We are supposed to be on holiday this week, Vicars usually get a week in January to recover from the Christmas exhaustion. Needless to say the Rev is out visiting this morning and having a working lunch so I am taking the opportunity to gut the breakfast room, which was the cat's domain. Covers are in the WM and a couple of blankets out on the line just about stirring in the air. Where is the wind when you need it? Am about to start scrubbing the carpet, poor love, she had so many 'accidents' in the last few weeks that I'm seeing if the wonderful 'Pets at Home' carpet shampoo will do its stuff. If not it means replacing the carpet.:(

Have DS2 and his wife-to-be coming tomorrow so am making a chicken and ham pie for their lunch and a plain jam Victoria Sponge for tea, (his all-time favourite cake). Doing it today and prepping all the veg so I don't waste any of their visiting time tomorrow.

Right. Back to scrubbing the carpet.

    Take care of yourselves.
