LOL - Why don't you like me disagreeing with you?!
Why do you think I mind you disagreeing with me? I'm interested in your opinion. I'm sure you know what you are doing especially if this isn't your first house purchase. I'm just trying to warn anyone else who is in a similar position to be cautious when using a developer's recommended solicitors.0 -

My bad - I must have misinterpreted. One point worth noting is that there were two solicitors firms involved in the sale/purchase. I used the firm the developer put me in touch with and they used their own. So for others reading, what myself and SuzieSue are trying to highlight is make sure your using a reputable firm, do you research, get other quotes (don't just go for the one they tell you to) and make your own decision.0 -
Duly noted thank you guys0

Hiya
We changed our minds from the flat, and have pushed the boatd out and bought a house. Reserved monday, valuation already been done and aiming to complete by 31st march.Didnt get any house extras, but they are paying our £1600 stamp duty so not complining too much.
Hows yours going??0 -

I'm trying to remember my experience with Nationwide. I didn't have anything in principle, I made the application for the mortgage on 2 November, valuation occured on 11 November, offer came through on 22 November and I exchanged on 2 December. Completed on 23 December. So all fairly quick although at the time it felt like a lifetime!!0
