I didn't force myself to go to the course - usually i would have been telling myself how daft i was being and pushing myself into going. Although i was upset i just thought "if you can't go you can't go its not the end of the world". :D

Good decision - if you were that upset of course you shouldn't go, time for a bit of spoiling and sleeping xxxx Make sure you don't push yourself too hard today:grouphug:

:):):):):):):):):):):):) loads yesterday! thanks for all the well wishes - you lot are lovely xx
    1. check bank:)
    2. check ebay:)

    4. have a bubble bath:)
    5. clean out the freezer i got around to deforsting:)

CP - i am sooooo glad to hear that you feel the challenge has helped already :) that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside :D

One thing i just want to highlight for yourself and any other newbies joining us is how important it is to be careful about certain words - if you try to avoid using words like 'failed', 'just' and 'only' because these words are very undermining - we have an agreement to remind each other of this if we do use this sort of words so we can try and be more mindful about them. Thing is its fine to not be able to tick off everything on your list, no matter what it is - we do rollovers here :D.

I can understand the desire to have a day without being tearful but it will come, you'll see ;) in the meantime if you need to cry then be gentle on yourself - its just your body's way of trying to deal with feelings of being overwhelmed - its doing what its supposed to so its definitely not a failure of any kind ;)

Hope that makes sense hunibee, big fairy hugs xxxxx

Thanks Fairy! Yes that makes total sense. I didn't manage to get online till late yesterday, very bad day, however this challenge was in my thoughts and i did manage to:

    Do some housework
Go and do some food shopping
    Go to the gym
    Do 1 load of washing

Had i not have started doing this, i probably would have not done it! :rotfl:

Today is a NEW day :D I would like to aim for

2 loads of washing Done :)
List 5 items on ebay DONE :D
Do some preparation for my tutorial Done :)
Actually answer the phone at 11am when i tutor calls (at the minute i can't face it) Done :)
    Do some housework Done :)
    Go to the gym
    Done :)

Not a huge list today, but i don't want to overwhelm myself. My main focus for today is to deal with my tutorial.

I hope everyone has a positive day! :D

Before i forget Fairy, well done on yesterday and still managing to get out of the house. Can i ask, do you not like to leave the house? Hope you don't think i'm being nosey :o

Xan'smum - big hugs and HUGEEEEEEE good lucks for todays assessment - not a silly mare at all!!! You are just hoping for the best for your child and hoping he doesn't have to deal with difficulties and barriers to a 'normal' life - what mum wouldn't be doing that eh???? more big hugs :D xxxxxx

Thanks everyone for the lovely messages about my day yesterday :D:D:D CP you are not being nosey at all for asking - since becoming unwell again i have problems not with leaving the house exactly, but with coping with certain situations. Speaking to people especially can be difficult - I'm usually fine if i can go out and not have to speak to anyone. I find groups or crowds and noise very difficult and doing things on my own as well. Yesterday i had myself so worked up about going to the course that the last minute change of plans threw me completely, then to have to deal with going to leave in the car etc on top was just my breaking point. To be honest i'm not sure if i would have managed the course bit on its own without the additional complications thrown in. I have all sorts of issues about work because of how i was treated there and the course situation has so many associations to my previous work its a big hurdle for me right now. I have the complex wanting to go mixed in with fears that are stopping me i dont know whether to push through the fears or not. A few years ago i went to India by myself so it seems crazy to not be able to drive up the road to attend a course.....thats where i am at the minute though and so i am trying to navigate my personal minefield (mindfield!!) without getting blown up :D

Well done on your positives for yesterday :D How great it is to be able to look back over a particularly hard day and still be able to see what achievements you made :D I will be thinking about you at 11 sending you strength to answer the phone! Hope it goes ok for you xxxxxxx

Sligo, yes i did do my best yesterday - i almost left to go to the course but just couldn't quite do it, i'm not ready yet is all and i do have faith it will come in its own time. I am proud of myself for not forcing myself into a more difficult situation than i could cope with and for simply acknowledging my limits right now without beating myself up about them :D maybe next week i will make it!!

    Plans for today then.....

Check out the rollovers from my last list and add them

    Superpoints - done :)
Swaggers up to 700 today - done :)
parcel up and post a few more ebay sales i made - done :)
contact amazon about selling some Avon stock i still have
    make payment to avon
add some more books to amazon selling account
add some more items to ebay account - done :)
survey for challenge - done :)
    stash £1 - done :)
make extra payment for ebay purchase - hate it when they charge extra postage to NI
    update calendar with appointments
    go for a walk - done :)
check bank account!!!! - the mystery millions must be due soon :rotfl: - done :)
see how many free games of bingo i can squeeze in! x 2, fab 1, jpj 1

Thanks fo much for taking the time to explain to me Fairy. And well done on not forcing yourself to do something you know you can't manage. I think we sometimes put to much preasure on ourselves in doing things we aren't ready for or can't cope with. I know i do!

Anyway... most of my list done already! So proud of myself. My main issue today was dealing with my tutorial (i set myself up for failing everything i do). Anyway, i concentrated on doing the work this morning and once i had finished i realised i had an hour before my tutor was gonna call. So instead of sitting about worrying about it, i made DH run me to the gym, wait outside in the carpark for 30 minutes whilst i ran and when on the bike, the rushed back home. Had a quick 5 minute shower then the phone rang. My tutor was lovely (1st tutorial for this course) and very understanding. She also said i should be proud of myself with everything i cope with (she probably regrets asking for some background info on me) and she has totally put me at ease. So pleased i dealt with it today.

All i have left to do is 5 ebay listings which i'm going to start now. Then i'm gonna put my feet up after work tonight and just chill out. I think i deserve it :D

I've been sitting relaxing this evening and thinking about tomorrows list. I've got quite a busy day tomorrow so i've planned my list to post now and will update tomorrow afternoon/evening. Hope thats ok! I quite like the idea of being organised (for once in my life :o )

So to prepare myself for the weekend, Fridays steps will include:

1 hour at the gym, because i love how i feel afterwards DONE
1 hour ironing, which i HATE with a passion
    Housework, including hoovering upstairs!

Write a shopping list for Saturday's shopping
    Catch up with surveys
Read 1 chapter for my open uni work DONE
    List 5 items on ebay
And finally, make an effort with my appearance (after the gym)! I'm a big believer in if i look better, i'll feel better :oDONE

It may be Thursday as i type this, but it will be Friday when you read it, so i just wanna wish everyone a HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Will be back later to update :)
