Right then, who is up for a blastin through challenge????

hehehehehe, me thinks my mojo is back today :D and i thought it might be time to do a little mini challenge on positive steps!!

Its up to you if you want to take part or not, so don't feel like you have to ;)

Here is the plan - over the weekend you think about something or somethings that you have been procrastinating over and you write them down on here under Blastin Through. It can be something that will take several days to complete, different things that each can be done quite quickly (no more than 5), or even just one thing that you have been finding hard to get the motivation to do!

Starting from Monday at the latest then we are going to try and Blast Through them and have them all done by next Friday :D:D:D

So who's going to join me then? :p

    I'm with you Fairyclicks!!

Next week I will be blasting through:

    - medical expenses claims from Health Insurance company
    - medical expenses tax refund claims
    - return unused vouchers to Mr T Cl*bcard
    - complete personal injury claim with insurers of the d**kh**d who did a U turn in front of me in December 2008 and I crashed headlong into him!! (Luckily no serious injuries but hopefully I'll get something out of it!)

These are all stuff I keep starting and never finishing and they are all money that is owing to me! And I need it!!

    Afternoon Guys,

Carppy afternoon yesterday - they have discovered that Xans bladder is n't emptying properly so they are looking at some sort of daily catherterising for him. Awaiting a joint appointment with the bladder and kidney team sometime in the autumn. Has come as a real blow, but I held it together until we got outside GOSH, then broke down completely so feeling a bit done in today. None of my family have been in touch to see how we got on, and its times like this I really miss my Mum, she never forgot anything - I know if she was here she'd be making me get a grip!

Anyway, doing a joint list for the rest of today and tomorrow - not going to be a huge one though!

Aw i am so sorry to hear that things didn't go well yesterday!! We were all thinking about you and wondering how it had gone. Its rotten when family don't remember these things and i am sure you could have done with lots of support and hugs too!

I know you had a lot pinned on the appointment yesterday and so it must really feel like its all been taken away. Can i ask if the catheter is a temporary solution? I know sometimes they do that before looking at some other possibilities, and maybe the later appointment will be with someone else who could give you more information.

I am sure you are in a bit of shock and are very disappointed about the outcome at the minute - it takes time to process this sort of information and i am sure you will come to grips with it in your own time. I'm sure your Mum is with you and she will help give you the strength you need right now!

Take care of yourself, and be gentle on yourself too, big hugs :grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug: from me xxxx

  • Xandersmum sorry to hear your news, hope they work something out that can work for you all and provide a good solution.

I bought some hair dye today, which was a third off, in an attempt to improve my image :) Trouble is, because I'm trying to become debt-free, I hate spending money on stuff like that which isn't important BUT I guess my self-image is important and I need to work on it :) The OH tells me I'm gorgeous etc etc but just don't feel it.... the gym, SW, and some work on my daily appearance should help! I do feel fired up after I've been to the gym but then hate sitting around in the afternoon.

I'd like to BLAST THROUGH my uni work, I've got tonnes to catch up on, so while I won't complete it, I could do with spending most of the week on it.

    coffee with a friend :)
    return new look order :)
check out proper running shoes :)got some, expensive but well worth it if it means the gym doesn't hurt!
remember to pick up my sports bra from home so i don't hurt myself even more running! :)
take my id into the council for benefits application :)
cash in the oh's winning scratchcards and put money into holiday pot
buy some birthday cards if they are 5 for a quid
try to call some of the utility companies to let them know we are moving out
continue to stick to SW plan :)
write a food shopping list :)and purchased it all!

Hope you all have a good day :)
