Have flew really well these last 2 weeks and have got my house to the point where I don't panic if friends call unexpectedly.
Me too-wish I had done this years ago- I used to spend all weekend tidying ,washing and generally being grumpy to everyone but now only have the uniforms to wash and a quick tidy and swish round before Monday.I also feel that I am less stressed and in control and don't feel mortified if someone calls round because the house is such a state! Thanks for saving me and my sanity Flylady!

    Morning all

Glad the boiler is working as we have thick lying frost her today but glorious sunshine too which is lovely

MrsChasos - thanks sweetie, I'll pm you later (maybe fb if that is ok)

Unclebulgaria - I love the wombles, have the ring tone on my phone so you are a welcome poster. Thank you for your advise I think I'll start a thread, not sure whether to do it in DIY or gas and electricity yet.

Darn Tax credits are still want there money back, we do owe some but not as much as they say and they say they did not receive my last letter.

Windows guy has not taken kindly to our request to reduce the bill on the poor finish/poor design so that is another battle which I don't really want to have.

For now though to the shower for me and then an hour tidying up before lunch.

In the background now the wonderful sound of brick-on-brick as my garden wall is being re-built. Yippee!

Happy birthdays Miss A and kazwookie, and happy belated birthday Jojo.

Did a massive wardrobe sort out yesterday, which threatened to overshadow the cleaning in the bedroom, but pulled it all together in the end. Got rid of lots of clothes that no longer fit due to being at target weight. I'd held on to them in almost disbelief that I wouldn't regain weight, but I've moved on to positive thinking now.

Off to watch the football this afternoon with DS & DD. It's still very frosty here so will be long johns & double gloves on. Have a good weekend everyone.

Friday - Bedrooms one and all
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Wipe up any cupmarks[/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]Hoover [/STRIKE]
    Level Two

    [STRIKE]Wipe the window ledges
    Tidy the bookshelves or floorobe[/STRIKE]
    Level Three
Hoover under somebodies bed looking for hidden treasure By the time I'd cleared wardrobe, too tired to clear under bed. But I did find £5.42 in old handbag in wardrobe.
    [STRIKE]Catch up on any laundry[/STRIKE]
Do something from another day you didn't get too
    Extras

I had decided I was going to abandon cleaning for the weekend and enjoy it with DH but he suggested we invite some friends over so will need to whizz the vacuum round anyway. I am trying the slow cooker out so I hope what we give them will be nice. DH is writing reports (60 of them ) so I may as well finish the cleaning.

    So far this morning

    Breakfasted
    Showered
    Pot roast in sc
Folded and put away dry washing
    WM x 1
    Hung up washing
S & S our en-suite although need to do the shower once DH has been in

Going to finish my cuppa and then get on and finish upstairs.

I started the week well, but then everything just got a bit busy with work etc :(, but I'm going to think positively - the stuff I did earlier in the week is a saving for the weekend, so just need to carry on. I think it's a case of just getting back on the wagon and picking up where ever you happen to be ;).

So, after a lie-in, I'm starting very slowly today...still in my pjs :o, but have done a couple of things between cuppas...
    • towels are on the line and another load on the radiators
    • 1 x WM, will be finished soon

I think I want to concentrate on the bedrooms this weekend, so will go get the list and add it here...

  • Havent been able to read much of the thread but gather we have some birthdays to celebrate.:beer: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Oh well another week written off. I just dont seem to have the time to do much at the moment, working mornings picking DD from school and clubs, hospital appointments (2 more next week!) and a general CBA feeling that wont go away. :( Didnt get out of bed til 10'oclock!!

I have a scan on mon, OH has his hernia op on thurs aargh!! guess DD does start her school clubs next week so I'll be able to pick her up later on 2 days and get some more done.

No point in posting the lists! but today have W&W in kitchen, One load in WM another about to go in, HHP, made beds and not much else really except play doctors with DD.

Anyway going for a walk the afternoon with DD and my dad to blow the cobwebs away adn forget the state of the house! and wait in anticipation for next weeks list which i hope to achieve more than one or two days of lol.

    Have a good weekend everyone.
