  • I just realised I have quite a few eggs in stock so may put my new-found pastry making skills to the test again with a quiche.

I'm a bit housebound today (Virgin man coming to fit my TiVo) so no time for shopping so it may just turn into a 'Whoopsie Quiche' using whatever I can find rather than a 'proper' quiche.
Awwwww i'm sooooo Well Jel :rotfl: I wish i was in a Virgin area i WANT TiVo guess i will just have to make do with Sky +.
I too am stuck in waiting for the council to fix my sons bedroom Window as there are huge gaps at the top so its like having an open window permanantly. Dumb couincil though giving me a school run appointment 9.30-3 well my son gets out at 3 so i leave for 2.30!!

    Superb :T

    Picture please ;)

Whoopsie quiche would be a fab money saving meal.

I'm doing another casserole today as I picked up 3 bags of casserole prepped veggies last night for pennies. Also have stacks of casserole steak that was whoopsied a week or 2 ago. I've thrown in a few other bits n bobs and a tail end of a cono sur bottle.

This of course will have more suet dumplings in toward the end of cooking.

2 days of meals for next to nowt. :T

I'm also doing whoopsied steak in cono sur!!! It's in the slow cooker as we speak. When the meat is cooked, I'll transfer it into a casserole dish and stick in the oven with a big round flattened dumpling with grated cheese on top
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
  • Morning!

Has anyone had any luck with the mini eggs and lindt eggs today? Are they at extra or express? Thanks :)

Hello to All , Many thanks for your warm welcomes . As some of you know , I'm the well trained (what ever that means) OH of SnapAnt so I'm taking advantage whilst she feverishly types her letter to the ' powers that be ' to drop into MSE and thank you all for the thanks .
I don't post on forums frequently , although I did a few years ago on the e-bay ones but MSE is a whole different kettle of fish with quotes , smileys etc available .
Anyway , I'm in my 50's born in the nineteen 60's , male , have lived in different parts of Wales all my life (Caerphilly , Johnston - Pembs , Senghenydd etc) , travelled a little doing the usual tourist hot spots of Spain , Turkey , Malta , India , I'm an ex Civil Servant (Ministry of Defence ; Inland Revenue)...and I believe I'm Mr October on the MSE 2011 calendar .
Excuse any speeling mistooks as I 'm still finding my way around .

    Happy hunting all .

It's easy to get online polls to set up a vote to gauge peoples opinions whether the quiz should stay nationalised or move into the private quarter .
It'll be our small way of showing democracy does indeed work in this ' big society ' we all live in .
Unfortunatly I can't post links as I'm new but I'm sure someone can or could do it . My PollCreator for examle is simple .
    Just a fort .

I am wondering if it was you and Snap-Ant who I saw in the C4erphi11y store about a week ago? There was a couple, probably both in their 50's, discussing a glitch standing near the Christmas puddings!
