Just think though , if it hadn't stopped we would not be able to get inside our homes now
i am sure we would got a shed/plastic storage thingy, out house, garage from somewhere. or we couldve been extra nice to the neighbours and "rent" their garage. :rotfl:

Well I still don't know, I was in the bathroom when the police rang my bell (I heard them ring next door's just before) and they'd gone when I came out.

He came home on his motorbike but I didn't hear him ride away so it's possible he's borrowed one from someone or it was being examined, perhaps an attempted burglary instead?

My garage is fine, lucky considering the side door wasn't locked! It is now though, nothing really worth stealing in there though, was most worried about my -£4.11 DTD heat gun! :rotfl:

Got a bit of a bargain with Cadbury's Mini Eggs 100g bags. Saw them in a big cardboard display with a sign saying BOGOF, so I thought I'd wait until I got to the seasonal aisle and pick up a couple of bags ready for Easter (honest!). ;)
When I got to the seasonal aisle there was no sign of the BOGOF signs, so I went back to the cardboard stand and looked properly at the sign (which was partially obscured by another stand). Turns out the offer ended 17th January. So I picked up a couple of bags (or 12...:D) and paid.

Confidently checked my receipt afterwards and saw that a different discount had kicked in that wasn't advertised in my store - 2 for £2.

So the 12 bags originally went through at £1.50 each = £18.00
    I got the 2 for £2 discount of £6.00
Complained to CS about overcharge and got another £12.00 refund = Free Choccy (not that I need it, and it WILL be saved for Easter - well, except for the bag I've just eaten...:rotfl:)

What was the old dtd ?
tesco came up with a fabulous idea. they said they were cheaper than asda, and if they werent you would get double the difference back. at the start there was no limitations. people were getting vouchers back that were in excess of £100. so you got £100 free shopping. which you would buy the stuff that was dearer in tesco, so generating another voucher :jand so on., so everything was basically free. helen had a picture of her loft space. it was rammed full of stuff. they decided to change it to £20 max on 29th april. (the day of the royal wedding) so as the news would be buried in the papers.

Could you guys give me some baking tips please, I've seen your fab creations so i'm sure there'll be a clever answer out there :)

I'm trying to making buttercream icing that I can use in a piping bag, but the last recipe I used made it too runny and it wouldnt set in the patterns I'd created. Any tips or suggestions please?
