Morning everyone, bit cloudy and chilly here. Forgot to mention was very proud of myself on friday Car insurance was due, last year was £350, renewal arrived for £400!!! Did a bit of checking and got a few quotes, got it down to £280 with Aviva and then £80.80 back for using TCB. Well proud of myself:T:T:T And got better cover with Aviva than my old insurance company:)
Well done :T:T:T0 -
Well I still don't know, I was in the bathroom when the police rang my bell (I heard them ring next door's just before) and they'd gone when I came out.
He came home on his motorbike but I didn't hear him ride away so it's possible he's borrowed one from someone or it was being examined, perhaps an attempted burglary instead?
My garage is fine, lucky considering the side door wasn't locked! It is now though, nothing really worth stealing in there though, was most worried about my -£4.11 DTD heat gun! :rotfl:
Glad to hear yours is ok. Ours is no good for keeping decent stuff could do with being to cater for my hobby. It's an old fibreglass kind and metal frame that is rusting so wind and dust blows threw the gaps and its very dusty and dirty nothing worth stealing except our bikes which are doubly locked. Wonder how Czerniacha is going to get on with her lost keys. Was chatting to OH last night and he reckoned only way would be to take a hacksaw to it.

(the day of the royal wedding) so as the news would be buried in the papers.
As I remember it the £20 limit was put in around 24th March and Tesco used. The royal wedding to hide the removal of dtd to jtd as it is now.
Basically it meant that after an initial spend and with careful buying we could print a £20 voucher for free shopping every day!
Asda had a field day when the limit of £20 was introduced. Them were the days!
It's only a game

Could I combine DTD reminiscing and baking tips please? Have a fair few (!) bottles of BC pancake mix left and would love ideas of what to do with it. Have been adding in an egg and making yorkshires - not perfect as a bit sweet, but OK-ish. Even the kids have lost interest in making pancakes - in the early days it kept them quiet every Sunday morning! Any suggestions? Thanks0

Hi everybody I hope you have all had a fab weekend, I went to Mr T metro yesterday and got mini Christmas puddings that should have been £1.30 at 10p expiry date March 2013. Also they were selling big Christmas cakes off that were £10 for 50p however the expiry date was Aug 2012. I also got three lots of gift pack toiletries for £1.25. might be worth checking it out. I have not been able to get to a bigger Mr T this week. I have been getting my reduced goods from Mr S. I've had a good week which is good as pay day doesn't come until the end of this week.
I hope the weather has improved in your area is it a lot calmer here now.Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.0 -
OMG there's a Crime Scene Investigation van and a police car outside a house opposite me!
Saw the bloke coming from the footpath that goes around the backs of the houses with a guy in black with blue gloves on and went from thinking they'd been burgled to his wife or child being attacked. But it seems from all the gesticulating outside their garage that that was broken into, I'm wondering if his motorbike's been stolen or something......seems odd if they did because a bloke two doors down has a MUCH more expensive one.
Might go and check my garage now actually.............
You better sit there watching and give an update when you find out. Hope your garage is ok.0
