  • Question..

I bought about 70 packets of Dormen's nuts off clipstrips on Wednesday for 1p each, having no problem with SA on a manned till or supervisor who was with him.

When I got the nuts home I realised that they all had a 'use by' date of 14 Dec 2011. I bought the same nuts with a 'use by' date of May 2012 before Xmas so didn't expect the new batch to be out of date.

    What should I do next?

Phew finally caught up. What a day I have missed!

Sorry to hear of your loss blondynurse, hugs to you.

So glad that Nikki is managing to put Happys case forward, I really do hope it's a good outcome. Anyone know how he got on at the vets today?

Thanks to everyones good wishes for my mum, scan went well this time, won't go into too much detail but let's just say I suggested that perhaps they did not try to make her drink quite as much this time so that she kept it down. And they were ok with it and they saw her quickly. :T She didn't have one of her funny turns after being laid flat so came out looking a lot better than last time. :)

No results until we see the consultant on 30th. :(

Anyway mum had a good afternoon as I took her out for lunch braving getting the wheelchair in and out of the car again. It was lovely to see a smile on her face, getting some bits in Wilkinsons. No bargains she even paid £1.75 for batteries , I did have some at home cheaper from Ts but the independance of doing a bit of shopping herself did her the world of good. I just wheeled her around to her hearts content she always wants to go and look at the towels in there, she has drawers full at home so persuaded her she didn't need anymore on that front. But a new toilet brush was had :D but had to say I didn't think I could manage to push her and carry a new front door mat! :rotfl:

Had a little nosey at FB this morning, sort of hoped they may have put out another 50p dvd player but just saw a gap where wool got hers from I think. ;)

Just got couple of the heritage tins of biscuits £1.25 and they had some of the cadburys tins too for £1.50. They were no longer in the xmas aisle. Also noticed the jars of moments were £2.99 down from £10 were they ever that!

Really glad that your mums hospital appointment went as well as it could, and I have everything crossed for postitive results for you.

Good on you for taking her shopping afterwards as well, sounds like you really made the most of it and gave her a lovely afternoon.

I spent £75 I dont really have on a couple of new necklaces for mum. I have lots of stuff at home I want to get rid of, so I need to get busy with Ebay to raise some pennies before that credit card bill arrives!

Talk about how to win friends and influence people on here tonight.

Any chance we could get this thread back to what it used to be - a fun place with jokes, funny pics, some Ts glitches but mostly, lots of love & support.
  • OK peeps, stop the personal attacks, how could you possibly dislike people you only know on the internet. You've never met so you really don't know each other. Words in text can come across very differently from the way they are intended. At least when talking face to face you have tone, expression and body language to help emphasis the meaning of words. Please bear this in mind when you read comments you feel offended by.

Children don't choose their names, their parents do. Discriminating against people on the basis of their names is not on.

(Thankfully for all the Kylies, Chardonnays, Kyles, Waynes - we all have our personal favourites :D - no offence to anyone saddled with those names, I don't like my name either!)

I know of a woman who actually called her son jack.

So what, you may say. Well, only that her last name is RUSSELL!

    I am actually dead serious!
