I did buy a little BBC garden bird clock from Boots too.I thought it would go well in my conservatory,it takes 3 aa batteries,it has a different bird song on each hour :DI set it at the right time and hid it in our bedroom cupboard, need I say what happened at 7 oclock tonight :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hope that it was a nice bird song and not 'The birdie song', poor (or lucky:o) LordLeenie, he would have been having 'a little bit of this and a little bit of that'. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I definitely wouldn't worry too much Sanya. With regards to dry goods, the dates are only best before, not use by. If it looks, smells and tastes fine, I continue to use it. With regards to cough mixture, there is an overwhelming amount of clinical evidence that suggests cough medicine has no medicinal benefits other than soothing the throat, infact many claim hat a spoonful of golden syrup would do the same job. It definitely doesn't offer anything in the way of a cure. I gave up taking it years ago, although I do know that some GP's will recommend Pholcodine Linctus which incidentally is the cheapest of the lot :D

I agree with this completely- pholcodiene is fab for coughs :j and I remember getting possibly one of the best nights sleep i have ever had on it. You can get drowsy or non=drowsy versions

Morning all. It's a bit quiet on the Tesco front at the minute.
Haven't been for a few days.
Was in Birmingham yesterday and I couldn't even
be bothered to try pastures new. :(
I might just be getting a hold on this Ts compulsion!

    Well done you :T
I couldn't be bothered going out tonight so am going to have to pay full price for my veg and bread tomorrow. After reading your post though, I wish I'd gone now !
    Thanks :)
Although I must admit I was in two minds about going in the first place, what with the weather and whether I would be wasting petrol. But thank goodness I did go, for some unknown reason the shop was very quiet. I might try the wee Tesco in town tonight as I can just walk there for some veg and bread and that would be us sorted. We have enough now to last a few weeks. :)
I made a mistake once, believeing people on the internet were my virtual friends. It won't be a mistake that I make again!
