One of my little ones is poorly with an upset stomach. She's been sick about 5 times...nothing from the other end
(sorry if TMI!) Never had anything like this before, hasn't eaten any grass and it seems that what she's bringing up is all that she's eaten today. She's a little quiet but was fine when we went on a walk. It seems like just an upset stomach to me but what would you do? When would you re-introduce food? And would you do bland chicken and rice or suchlike for a day or 2 to begin with? Thank you very much in advance. I'm sure she'll be fine but she's my baby and of course I worry!
xx
I haven't caught up yet so don't know if your doggie is much better by now, hopefully she is if she's emptied her stomach of whatever it was that upset her. When my dog gets an upset stomach...(and it's usually down to all the animal carp she manages to wolf down when we're in the fields!) I usually start off with giving her a liitle rice with some fish.
I find chicken tends to make her a bit loose anyway (sorry!!) ...so although she loves it I wouldn't give it to her if she's had an upset tum.
Keep an eye that she doesn't become too dehydrated. My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

Totally agree with you!:)
I do exactly the same with our dogs if they have an upset stomach.
I also give them just water for 24 hours.
Years ago a vet told me that you can also give them a dose of kaolin and morphine.N1LDA:D0 -
Yet again, thanks to everyone, I FINALLY got on the Boots vitamin glitch yesterday. The SA didnt want to complete the transaction (no SS tills), he asked the team Manager who said 'yes' but still wouldnt do it! He said 'he doesnt know what hes on about'! A bit more huffing from me and an ultimatum to either complete the sale or refuse me and he did it! Hoping the madness of the 75% sale might mask another transaction!
Thanks also to a previous poster who mentioned wombling Boots receipts, I hadnt thought of that. So far I womble Tesco and Costa, any others to watch out for?0 -
For those who don't know what a only a few(:() of us are talking about the following link may be entertaining?

Just back from my first Boots sale and was pleasantly surprised at how calm and friendly it was:). Some of the posts on the Boots thread had me a bit worried but, apart from a bit of trolley nudging, it was fine. We must be a lot friendlier bunch in this neck of the woods than in some parts:D Doors opened early and I got everything that OH wanted:)
No Mr T for me today, off to hospital soon for physio, tax returns to start before the end of the month deadline:( then preparing a potato and leek gratin to use of some of the philly mountain in the fridge:)
I either need to stop skim reading or put my specs on....I read that as preparing a PANTO rather than potato
I'd pay good money to see Artha in Panto.....:rotfl:My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -

I had an email yesterday from SSM with a link to take you to the application page.
I applied last night....but don't know that it's guaranteed you'll be accepted.
Looks good though....you get a full kit for yourself to test and provide feedback on and 10 samples to give to friends and family to try.My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
we called it rat tat ginger , same game same rules ..knock'n'annoy , we were bad to the bone back in the days .
My OH and I were laughing about this topic last night.
He said he and his friends had their own version of this.
They used to find a dog poo and put it in newspaper which they would then place on someones doorstep and set light to. They'd ring the bell and hide to watch the person answering the door stamp on the flames to put them out
What a revolting child he must have been :rotfl:My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0
