Oh Bensonsmum I am so sorry to hear about your FIL, atleast though they are taking it seriously and not just brushing it off and sending him home *hugs* to you and your OH.

You know I think I am cursed, second accident today and neither would have happened had I not been bargain/glitch hunting:

    Morning all!

Heads up on a good grabbit from the main board! :j:j

    copied below...
    http://www.zizzi.co.uk/happymonday

Whilst many believe 23rd January to be the gloomiest day of the year, instead we’re celebrating the launch of our new Cichetti menu with a completely free, one-off event – National Cichetti Hour. Cichetti (pronounced Chee-ket-tee) is Italy’s answer to tapas – a selection of tasty bites ideal to share or mix and match. For one night only, we’re offering you the chance to try Cichetti at our free event – we’ll even throw in a glass of Prosecco for every guest.

Cichetti Hour is happening in every single Zizzi for one hour only from 6.00-7.00pm. To secure you place, simply complete the form below to come along and sample our delicious Cichetti canap!s, such our Arancini (crispy risotto balls), Saccotini (mini Calzone pockets) or Spiedini di Pollo (oven baked chicken skewers)

thanks to bc300 for the link and silvertabby for being the OP :T:T

Well done you  I'll do you a deal for tomorrow. I'll stick to North Down, you stick to Belfast :p

I'm thinking I might get some of the vitamins for kids but DS1 is only 2 1/2. Not sure if he'll even like them. Anyone any experience of a 3 year old successfully taking supplements or is it like trying to give a cat a worming tablet :rotfl:

Away to relax now that I've finished geeking about with the fab new printer. £25 minus 10% TCB which has tracked and I don't even need to use cables. Heck I can even print from the cloud.

    *I'll get my coat*

    Mornin all.
My 3 yo happily takes her vitamin every day. Because it will make her run fast and keep her bones so stroooong

The information that I've always seen over on the coupons thread, from those in much better knowledge than myself on the subject is that coupons can only be used subject to the terms and conditions and purchasing the specified product.

The reason it annoys me when people flout the rules isn't because T's or A's or wherever are losing money....it's because I think there should be one rule for all and everyone should be able to benefit from money saving equally. If coupon acceptance is rescinded in my store because somebody has been using them to buy any product under the sun and get their shopping ultra cheap, I would feel angry for myself and fellow money savers that are now unable to make ends meet quite so easily as before.

For me at this point in my life, MSE is a bit of a game. I get a real buzz from saving money and distributing my bargains, glitches, and whoopsies to friends, family, neighbours, homeless shelters. But there are people on here that NEED to save money to keep themselves afloat and to survive. I don't know how it works so maybe I shouldn't have such a forceful opinion but all I know is that there are rules printed on the coupons and I would hate for someone to have to suffer because I greedily thought I was above those t's & c's.

And please don't think I'm targetting you personally wendy, I just wanted to have my 2p's worth on the subject in general as it keeps cropping up. MSE is a community and on this thread in particular I'd like to think that we all have community spirit and are thoughtful to the needs of others, sharing the MSE love! :A

    Fab post Fudge Cake.

Thanks Fudge_Cake for the reply. I still think that there will be no problem wth the occasional person using a voucher for the incorrect item because of the ratio of the number of people buying that item compared to the number of people using a voucher. However, I will continue to only use a voucher for the actual item that I should be buying. xx

The other important point to remember is that MSE itself supports what Fudge Cake has said, and frowns heavily on coupon misuse and anyone who advocates it - the coupon thread has been repeatedly locked because of posts discussing this and it was threatened that it would be removed if such chat wasn't stopped - whatever any of us think about this, no-one would want this thread to be closed down! Much better and safer to just post about coupon use fully within the Ts and Cs.

Good luck to everyone braving the Boots sale - and hugs Issyc that it is not online this year - I feel the same.
