The post from West is Best really made me smile.

I used to disappear off down the woods with my friends first thing then used to go home when I was hungry. We used to climb trees, jump off them on the end of ropes, make swings and alll sorts. I remember coming out of one tree and landing face first in a bed of nettles, just found some dock leaves and rubbed them over - these days they'd probably be off to casualty (I was stung all over - just wearing shorts and T shirt!!).

I used to have some of the strap on skates, was rather annoyed that they were slow ones without the ball bearings, but could still go pretty fast straight down hill on a local dead end road - very handy hedge to stop in at the bottom!

I'm still a good shop from my air rifle days, and I'm pretty sure TV started some time in the afternoon, if not the evening, certainly never even thought about watching it until I was pinned down after dinner!

Makes you wonder what today's kids will be reminiscing about in 30 or 40 years time (I'm a 1960'2 baby by the way!)
What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare

I too have had problems with using coupons at Asda. Sometimes they will accept them them after a lot of scrutiny but more often than not they refuse.

I might have a go at T's instead.
